Malak Kalmoni. Chehab Thanks for introducing this intriguing new Hungarian poetic form, Malak. Clever use of assonance and consonance in the first three lines that mirrors the lengthening lines, (hon, honey, hopeful,) and then throughout, (lone, loving, tough, lonely.) Excellent contrast of “loving” and “lonely” in a if-you- have-to-make-a-choice scenario. By, Linda Powers O’Dell
APEVA Love
Hon Honey Hopeful, lone Loving is tough Better than lonely
She stands in an ethereal Ivory, off the shoulder, flowy Silver dress, her golden tresses curly Over her bare back, as her bouquet ball
Of peachy-white, highlited By the green leaves in symmetry With the forest that surrounds her body As she stands on the wooden bridged
Crossing over an ocean of memory Flowing like water, never boxed, Contained, but freely bled Its tears of trauma into the depth of the watery
Abyss, where, where trauma’s happiness Is the brightest pearl, hidden, hidden In the depths without succor, forgotten? Never, never! Faced with success
In riding the rippling waves of distress That congregate in a single drop Of life saving H²O, quenching a pop Of bubbly bursts, like stars that press
Their light over the fallen bouquet With it falls memories Of a life lived together, families Grew learning the art of parfait.

Memories, memories of childhood Long gone, come back, come Let’s play a song, a game, Let innocence flow like a flood
Throw, throw away taught stereotypes, Enjoy the games with all blood Types, mixed races, all are kids who prod One another regardless of religious hypes.
Oh to be so free as a child’s kite No cares about evil, pedophile, Predators, child abusers, all file Into a chest locked away in a fight
To stay bright with joy, unmindfull Of obstructions to laughter’s song That glides into deadened hearts long For beauty to brighten the awful
Despair of a dutiful social being Whose memories of childhood Spring with cheer, geer, games bold In their actions for social strictures having
Childhood memories shine like golden daffodils Innocence shines under the sun’s warmth Where bees play hide and seek Amongst gay, laughter and cheerfulness
Children are like free kites Where in clouds they smile Their swings take them to high sky Teach them to fly like a bird
Memories of childhood are like coloured rainbow Where each colour belongs to each memory Reflecting a soothing effect Like dew drops at dawn on each branch
Memories reflect fear of ghosts and demons Heart full of fear and anxieties at darkness Joy, happiness, jovial harmony at each festivity When vivid colourful threads bring us together
Childhood carelessness has faded away soon From reality it has just come to a memory Only we can enjoy its residue The residue that will inspire us till death
The most precious time is childhood itself The most worthy is its characteristic, innocence Where guile never can interrupt Where God can reside alone

Malak Kalmoni. Chehab “Silence is silently golden” is wonderful tmesis, Malak. This revision emphasizes how the benefits of silence are also silent. Congratulations on such a complex, profound poem. Ambition is a tricky thing. Without it how can we progress? But do we want to live hounded for a few moments of elevation? Should feelings of inferiority be our motivation for defying destiny? To fill the blackish emptiness, to escape masochistic scorching pursuits, requires more than polish. To sit alone is silence may be the ultimate solace. Powerful, impressive poem with awesome tempo and rhymes! By, Linda Powers O’Dell
Thank you for the honor and your hard work.
Fate Follows Slowly
Silence is silently golden and craves Quiet to fulfill its quiet role Where falling for the coal That burns your soul and paves
The way to hounding healing hell That elevates your status momentarily, There’s a scorching that’s heavenly For your masochistic tendencies that fell
From the mouth of a demeaning, Enraged inferiority demanding Solace with like crazed minded souls fleeing The impossible: Karma, fate, destiny crawling
At its slow pace right behind Your extravagant polish That hides an emptiness that’s blackish And finds comrades that comfort in kind.

Malak Kalmoni. Chehab A powerful antiwar protest poem, Malak! The injustice, the B.S, the crimes of petty wars are truly horrifying; you make us feel them to our core. You’ve created an intriguing version of the Pythagorean Triple, Malak. This is how poetry evolves, through innovation on existing forms. By Linda Powers O’Dell
Replaced
Petty wars Kill victims, Genders, trill
Their song of death Injustice wraps Noose, overkill
Around kin who’s fam Stuggles covered, and Erased to hide crimes
Under the B.S. they trill, Singing a song, oppress Natives replaced: killers …

I’ve written you so many letters, Letters that have gathered dust, Dust in their crammed drawer, Drawer that holds my secrets, a protector, Protector against prying eyes, Eyes whose judgements is impolite, Impolite, demeaning comments, Comments that devastate one’s self- esteem, Esteem you wish to share, Share its fruitful bliss, yet, Yet, you fear a negative reaction, Reaction that leaves you bare, Bare to vulnerability of being offensive, Offensive by stating the truth, Truth that breaks Hearts, Hearts that need protection, Protection from those nearest who, Who with a word demolish what you’ve, You’ve build with a measly word.
