My poems are to be a part of a new Anthology

Dear Malak,

Thank you so much for sending your bio and photograph. I truly appreciate it.

I have enjoyed reading your poetry and am honored to include your work in the anthology. Your poems offer both beauty and depth, and I believe they will resonate with many readers. I was especially moved by the themes of family, memory, resilience, and the bonds that shape our lives.

Thank you also for sharing a little of your personal journey. The experiences you describe have undoubtedly shaped a unique and meaningful voice, and I am grateful that you chose to share it with this collection.

Your photograph is lovely, and I look forward to presenting your work with the care and respect it deserves.

Olive Fields’ Heritage

Oh ye olive trees, whose roots for centuries
Have spread into the Levant, your quarries
About the reason for being uprooted, buries

The foundation of civilizations gone,
Here, and yet to come are all rooted in one
Intertwined, integrated root that has a lone

Purpose: remind, recall, history’s lessons
The great highs and lows, artifacts, impressions
Of transience quickly replaced By processions

Of newer generations, all rooted in olive
Trees who’ve born witness to oppressive
Rulers, Just empires, horrific conquerors have

Marched through olive fields soaked
In blood where stories, history embraced
To create a film of varied heritages covered

Up with decades of erased traditions,
Language, culture, religions, whose comprehensions
And integration within one another is in suppressions

For to be transparent about heritage
Is to give truth free reign to soar in an age
Where lies, manipulation, a victim’s rage

Are hidden in order for a mainstream
Storyline to be carried above all, a crime
Against humanity, loss of compassion hidden in time.

Award of Appreciation for my poem, Creating Meaning

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Creating Meaning

The rhetoric, philosophy about the meaning of life
Has been in existence since the beginning of time,
Yet, for each generation, a new theory creates strife
In the souls of those in their prime

Needing an answer to consolidate
An identity they’ve forgotten existed
For following the trends gives a state
Of uncertainty for none are God send,

Rather, they derive pleasure in creating
Confusion and lack on comprehension
That creating your own meaning
To life is a necessary gift of compassion

For only when you’ve created it
Will you fight for it, never giving
Up on its dreams, an opportunity that bit
Out the uncertainty, giving rise to humanity’s creating.

Award of Appreciation for my poem: Woman Defined

Thank you,  administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work 👏

Woman Defined

Courage thy name is Woman!
You’ve shown us your resilience
In the face of adversity that can
Drive strong men to their knees in case
Their worries overwhelm their ferocity,
Which is tempered by Her steadfastness
And confidence in Her ability
To nurture, when needed, cutting honesty
That’s never ending in its compassion.

Her armor, mask is that of love.
Her empathy lifts Her up.
Her education is Her weapon, a dove,
White, for its peaceful cup.
She’s endured degradation, oppression,
Slavery and desperation beyond
Caution, She moves into dominion
With Her tolerance that’s Her bond.

Bond of her heart that instigates
The need for freedoms.
