Tick tock, tick tick, Zeus and Hera were gods of old,
Whose siblings and children ruled Olympus to forward
Their traits into humanity, but if they didn’t subjugate
Themselves to the will of the gods, they impose their revenge.
Tick tock, tick tock, polytheism gods’ names change
With time, civilizations, to represent the needs of the
People, from Thor to Anu, to Anubis, and Dragon
Or Shangti who require sacrifice and receded into anon.
Tick tock, tick tock, monotheism starts with Moses,
Jesus, and Mohammad whose miracles and messages
Are similar in that they ALL believe in One God that reigns
Supreme in the heavens.
Today, we regress into polytheism of the church
Of the broken god, that believes in evil within flesh,
While aspiring to mechanization of self, logic, and intellect.
Again the female god is animalistic and impulsive.
Yet, so many others continue to revere the monotheistic
Religions, knowing that faith is an antidepressant,
A builder of confidence, a strength stronger than mountains.
It elevates you and steers you away from obduracy.
The journey of life encompasses extreme emotions
From depression, to betrayal, to exhiliration.
Starting from worst to best in order to end on a positive note
We begin at the lowest times filled with darkness:
An abyss of desolateness that propels you into a whole
Whirlpool that sucks you into a vortex of helplessness.
Don’t succomb to it!
Shout out your power and suppress anything that depresses it!
Betrayal is next, it’s the real-estate of a state of extreme
Emotions overpowering your selfworth and take
You into a sepulcher of pain trying to negate Its influence.
Accept it, face it, then leave it in a chest,
Locked, chained, and sealed with the hardiest
Of mannacles that are intangible, but bind none the less!
Your exhiliration comes with success in overcoming failure,
Cheer in the face of animosity, changes that come before
You are ready, but there regardless.
Facing the challenges of change can be charmless,
Or it could be an exultation so overpowering it renders
Your fear into miniscule object that has a suppressor.
Let life’s challenges be what strengthens who you are,
Let it assert its dominion over those ‘Nay Sayer’,
Never succumbing into the blackwhole of despair.
Let your faith in yourself be your real-estate rather than a betrayer.
