Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem,  Lone Figure

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Lone Figure

He lives on the bench
He sleeps with head bowed
Twisted into resting, posed
Like the McDonald’s statue looking like a branch

Off the bench he’s resting on,
He wears his home in pockets filled
With knickknacks of a life felled
By taking a wrong turn in life’s ton

Of deviating trajectories leading
To his arm cushioning his head
On the top slat that keeps him upright, bend
Head and palm in his pocket keeping

It warm and protecting what little
He has. His body bent, his feet
Encased in boots, warm in winter, heat
Sweaty in summer, but protects, coddle

His feet from nature’s swaying
Changes covered, temporarily
As he drifts into faulty memory
Logged in regret, a cloack thicker than the reigning

Stutter of his heart, as it beats
A lonely drum, a cacophony Of sound
Discordant with the beauty around
Budding greens and life streaming in cleats.

Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem, Rose of the Book

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Rose of the Book

From this page of the ancient book,
This delicate pink rose has traveled
The seven seas, ancient empires have seased
To exist, while its beauty, color, and break

Grow into the roots of the nook in the book
As it cascades its freshness, fragility,
Strength, and independence in lacy capacity
Of petals that rise towards the sun to look

On humanity’s history book
Guarding its secrets, fragile, violent,
Yet, it rebels and grows still resplendent
In a lackluster world filled with a crook

Intent that borders on sacrilege against the book
Of God, that brooks no uncertainty
In knowing that the perpetrators will simply
Be punished for their irreverent belief in a look

Of masked piety that reveals its artifice
When faced by the innocence of the blooming rose.

Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem, Her Eyes

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Her Eyes

Her thick, wavy red hair flows
Around her face, framing a sensuous
Mouth, a retroussé nose, glamorous
Eyes, never crows but flies as windows

To her innocence and admiration
For a world whose good deeds
Are hidden like gems flying on steeds
Whose wings of change soar in liberation

Of the subjugated whose hopes
Had been dashed until they were
Perceived through her vision’s core
Of gratitude for gifts, treasures helping us copes

With desperation, disillusionment,
Dispondency, bereavement for the cheer
We possessed in our youth, but won’t hear
Of its resurrection because the illusion

Created by world media is of desperation
To be who, what you aren’t for integration.

Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem, Night Write

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Night Write

She sits under the tree’s shadow
At night, a cover for life that prevails
Against predators whose perils
For the unsuspecting prey follow

As Lambs to the slaughter, while
She writes the story of dreams
Fluttering in a utopia that crams
Within its doors all whose file

Of rebellion has been dedicated
To uprooting the destroyer,
Colonizer, resources thief, conquerer
Of those weaker, while her plumed

Pen discovers their weaknesses
Annihilating their defenses
While she uses
Her words of equality fearless of consequences.

Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem,  Child Strumming the Harp

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Child Strumming the Harp

Cumulus, citrus, and altostratus Clouds
Move in and around the harp
In golden, red, and grey, never a tarp
Of lackluster beige, only color that binds

Beauty, innocence to the golden
Haired child, whose tiny
Fingers strum harmony,
Not discord, nor harm shall befall the fallen

Child of the heavens
Whose innocence shines brighter
Than the sun, whose music is louder
For it bares its distinct imprint, beholden

To God for his creations, praising
In gratitude for HIS leniency,
Grace in the abundance of intermingly
Amalgamation of the periphery raising

Awareness of integrity, humility,
Towards a power greater, wiser
Than man, and has his best interest per
Each reprimand is a reason for his temerity.

Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem,  Her Home of Glass

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Her Home of Glass

Her home is made of glass,
Glass bottle that only bubbles,
Bubbles with her emotions, bottled,
Bottled up from fear,
Fear of a release that’ll explode,
Explode in shards of glass,
Glass that’ll embed in skin,
Skin that’s thin, easily penetrated,
Penetrated, fragile, vulnerable,
Vulnerable to injuries physical, emotional,
Emotional that devastate the psyche,
Psyche where trauma resides,
Resides in the our hearts,
Hearts that decay with anger,
Anger that makes us decimated in hunger,
Hunger for peace that’ll turn,
Turn her glass paradigm into solid,
Solid unpenatrable armor,
Armor that protects, unbreakable,
Unbreakable when faced with difficulties,
Difficulties of life that pulverize,
Pulverize the heart and mind,
Mind that needs peace to reside calm.

Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem,

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Angel Wings

Her acorn blondish hair frames
Her blue eyed eyes, piercing
In their gaze, all seeing
As her grey wings flutter in rhymes

Whose utter grace have underlying
Silver rays that brighten, coalesce
Atop her heart in blissful radiance
Shining like a star, brilliant in showcasing

Her inner heart filled with humanity,
A hunger for equality that stalls
When faced with impunity that crawls
Inconspicuously, stealthily, stealing

Her ethics, yet, she prevails
Using her empathy, strength
Of will to overcome the killing breath
Of death from peers who quails

From her integrity’s effervescence
She builds her community
Of supports, like minded dwellers, impossibly
Impoverished by their beliefs’ conscience

They empower others and selves
To push forward against trends.
