Certificate of Excellence for my poem,  Shadow of Mine

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Shadow of Mine

Shadow, oh shadow of mine,
I can only see you not feel you,
What are you made of? Do you
Touch me, unbeknownst to me and mine?

Of darkened shadow of mine,
Shine your darkness into the key
That lingers on my soul, never flee
Leaving me alone, you’re fine

Oh shadow of mine,
Steer my journey into light,
Caress my courage, keeping it bright,
Carry my darkness and embue a line

Of shadow’s tendrils to cry: ‘mine’,
For its loud whispers hover blindly
Over me, protecting my soul kindly,
So shadow, heal me and mine.

Award of Appreciation for my poem, Energy

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Energy

Everything gives off energy,
People give out vibes that are clingy
To their character, soul, and humbly
Vibrate at a frequency that’s seemly.

Plants, shrubs, and trees are no different.
Have you stood by vegetation not cement?
Felt the energy emanating in a vent,
Reaching out to reduce anxiety onto a splint?

As my tactile senses overtake me,
I feel energy all around me:
People,  cars, trees, parks are tame
And engrossed in a game that’s not lame.

As I touch a living plant, I feel
Its need to enrobe me in its touch,
Its simplicity and innocence that fill
My fingertips with a current that’s a badge

Of honor, as not all have the same
Level of sensitivity to fall under
The wonderment of nature’s thrall, and name
Man as its destroyer without any rancor.

The life force, energy,  magnetic field
Are all one and the same, as each
Creature eminates a void, imagination, that embraced
Its emptiness by acknowledging its existence.

Double Platinum Certificate for my poem, Dangling Moon

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Dangling Moon

Sitting on the tip of the crescent moon
Dangling her legs, pushing off, swinging
As though the moon embraced her in a cocoon
Of life’s laughter, lighter than lightning,

Brighter than the stars’ brilliance,
A comforter of the soul closer
To heaven’s doors, seating, no coincidence
That the moon hovers, never a loser,

But changes everyday in looks
From crescent to full moon,
Each highlights its own beautiful hooks
That enliven hope like a boon,

A boon from GOD to humanity,
A circle of dazzling blessings
Enrobing my imagination, flowy
Possibilities into dreams, not guessings,

No certainty that the light of poetry shines
To guide her plight into a roadmap
Of strength built on patience, never fines
Her more than she can conquer in a lap.

As she swings on memories that mirror
Her plight of losses that flow
Like the changes in the moon, a bower
For rest as I swing under the full moon’s glow.

Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem, Her Eyes

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Her Eyes

Her thick, wavy red hair flows
Around her face, framing a sensuous
Mouth, a retroussé nose, glamorous
Eyes, never crows but flies as windows

To her innocence and admiration
For a world whose good deeds
Are hidden like gems flying on steeds
Whose wings of change soar in liberation

Of the subjugated whose hopes
Had been dashed until they were
Perceived through her vision’s core
Of gratitude for gifts, treasures helping us copes

With desperation, disillusionment,
Dispondency, bereavement for the cheer
We possessed in our youth, but won’t hear
Of its resurrection because the illusion

Created by world media is of desperation
To be who, what you aren’t for integration.

Double Gold Certificate for my poem, Boomy Guitarist

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Boomy Guitarist

Her golden tresses frame a face
Filled with love’s faerie rhythm, grace
Embued the wind, a caress in a place

Where turbulent emotions soar
Unchecked, tempestuous, a roar
For help is put in place to aspire

For love to unfold in their breast
Sharing the volcanic crest
Assuaging pain with beauty’s behest

That arises from the boomy guitar
Whose notes, crisp, complex, flex on par
With the tsunami that resides on the far

Reaches of the shore, where the guitarist,
Whose antiquated clothing embrace the list
Of greavances his melody embodies, a fist

That punches out enemies of respite
With harmonic overtones that spite
Despair with a punch projection of flight.

Triple Gold Certificate for my poem,  Silver Etchings

Thank you for the honor and your hard work

Silver Etchings

Her yawn’s white and silver etchings
Swirls of eternal change castings
That bring out beauty’s blessings,

She stands, elegantly in a white dress
Flowing in the breeze that frees
Her imagination to never be less.

Her regal canoe flies through
The clouds taking her to
Endless adventures she never knew

Existed till she let go of fear
That kept her imprisoned in a sphere
Of schedules of repetition in a gear

That keeps speeding into stress
That’ll always press
If not dismantled for pressure is less

Imposing when you escape,
Like her, into the clouds of a dreamscape
That rejuvenates the soul’s need to scrape

Away the desolation of repetition
Garner some courage for expansion
Of a limited world to knowledge of expression.

Soar into beauty, peace
That never recede, but grace
Your mind in the simplicity of a slower pace.

Review and accolade for my poem,  Bodies of Death

Malak Kalmoni. Chehab Profound, amazing poem, Malak! Excellent parallel structure created by the repetition of your first lines. You’ve captured much of the state of the world with forceful images and observations. The compassionate do not rest, refugees find jail, the young die before their time, politicians abandon ethics. True, so true. Great poem!! By, Linda Powers O’Dell

Thank you for the honor and the review for my poetry. I’m always humbled by your comments.

Bodies of Death

Bodies of the world,
Whose blood runs red,
Whose compassionate souls
Never rest on behalf of victims’ hells.

Bodies of diverse diaspora
You’ve run in many directions like magma,
Setting a furor of ambition wherever
You land to prove yourself a better jailer.

Bodies of heavenly death
Speak on behest of lost souls whose breath
Was snuffed too young to comprehend
The fervor to achieve power and behead.

Bodies of the political world,
Your humanity is suspected
Of being lacking in affinity with your
Essence of ethical behavior that’s just not your core.

Accolade for my poem,  Amadeus

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Amadeus …

Amadeus, Amadeus … Amadeus  …

Amadé, a change of name that came With fame
But his genius compositions only improved,
His soul was a part of his music, recorded
For all to critique,  enjoy, the Heartbeat Waltz in a flame

Of cadence whose tempo flies into dance
To uplift the soul from the succulant morass,
The speed of the rhythm, consonance,
Modulation play together in harmony of place

And time to enjoy the emotional
Highs, lows, serene notes that
Help the soul soar into a world whose bat
Of destruction frolics under the guise  of corporeal

Sensuality innate in passionate humanity,
For without its imaginative freedom
Hope’s determination fluctuates into a dam
Of solid desperation only broken by musicality.

Certificate of Distinction for my poem, Smile

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Smile

A smile of kindness is all it takes to lift a soul
Up from feeling lonely, so smile
At the clerk, complement them
And listen to their reaction, a gem,

As their smile lights their eyes
And opens up a conversation of trivialities
That boost the soul, motivating
Them to simply enjoy the day while the sun’s shining.

It’s those simple acts of kindness
That distinguish our uniqueness
And humanity from those who’ve
Lost their compassion and empathy for love

Of their fellow ‘man’ in humanity.

Certificate of Notable Submission for my poem, Untitled

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Look into the mirror of a possible future
Where poverty is NONEXISTENT, and endless
Prospects for change and advancements race
Through imaginations running wild for a cure
To end poverty, sickness by becoming a doctor
Who heals not only the body but souls to the core.
