Triple Diamond Certificate for my poem,  Child Strumming the Harp

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Child Strumming the Harp

Cumulus, citrus, and altostratus Clouds
Move in and around the harp
In golden, red, and grey, never a tarp
Of lackluster beige, only color that binds

Beauty, innocence to the golden
Haired child, whose tiny
Fingers strum harmony,
Not discord, nor harm shall befall the fallen

Child of the heavens
Whose innocence shines brighter
Than the sun, whose music is louder
For it bares its distinct imprint, beholden

To God for his creations, praising
In gratitude for HIS leniency,
Grace in the abundance of intermingly
Amalgamation of the periphery raising

Awareness of integrity, humility,
Towards a power greater, wiser
Than man, and has his best interest per
Each reprimand is a reason for his temerity.

Accolade and Review for my poem,  Death’s Light

Malak Kalmoni. Chehab Beautiful mirroring poem, Malak, contrasting darkness and light like matter/antimatter images. Each stanza swells, expands and then contracts, like a realization of an important truth, an insight. The first is a powerful trip through the shadows of death, the dominion of the devil and the damned. The second stanza is a heavenly reprieve, a victory over destroying deviltry. Creatiing these two realms, your images are fantastic, original and elegantly presented. Excellent, dramatic poem!! By Linda Powers O’Dell

Death’s Light

Dark,
Razor sharp,
Claws of nails torn,
Horns of hell adorn
The souls of evils that step
Into the obscure, winding well to help
Those damned souls to reach
The pinprick of light breach
The diabolic breath, laugh,
Full of a pestilent cuff,
Shadowy death,
Lingering,
Stealing
Life
Turned
To death.
Dark.

Light,
Souls so bright,
Cleave the way to flight.
Soar in a cyclone’s might,
Into a haven of promised delight.
Tell your tale in whispers fiery
In their warmth and stealthy
In their fight against deviltry,
Whose hold is sturdy
But crumbles
When faced
With
Light.

Award of Appreciation for my poem, You Are the Moon

Thank you,  administrators,  for the honor and your hard work.

You Are the Moon

As the moon, alone in the dark sky,
Its light lightens the darkness, like
You, whose presence illuminates by
Existing alone, emblazon cheer’s bike

That rides an uneven trajectory
Leading a life that radiates your flight
While you light your path, cautiously
You navigate using the kindling within to bite

The darkness with fear that’ll hunger
To dissipate your glow of optimism,
But your spirit and light will glitter
And smolder the fire against pessimism

That oppresses in the night,
But, you combat its limitations
By letting your positivity soar, a kite
Flimsy yet strong enough to conquer trepidation.

Accolade for my poem: Festive City

Thank you, administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work.

Festive City

Painted roofs
On a cold day, running like hoofs,
Their brilliant shine,
It’s just fine
Surrounded by pine
Covered in blinking lights
Green, red, blue, whites
That twinkle at nights
Giving rise to hope
For a future where you don’t mope,
Fall into depression
Caused by holiday celebration
That cost a liver, kidney,
That you can’t live without the key
Of life, for cheer revokes
Loneliness, sadness that provokes
Moodiness, violent cakes
Falling apart As you built a life that makes
You proud of your veneer
That never touches ethics that peer
Within, making you stronger
For your life is lighter
As most stress is caused
By gossip’s ear, whose vanity paused
To try and emulate what others had.

Timely Moon

Moon, moon, moon,
Rise! Rise! Rise, asking for a boon!

Look up into the lover’s moon,
Its shiny disc sneakily covers a heady
Darkening sky, envading its gloomy melancholy.

Strip the colorless night,
Let its beauty shine and fight
Against its enveloping burdens and light
The heavens with the flamboyance of flight.

Right or wrong, the prodigal
Moon rises, illuminates its methodological
Muse, news, knowledge, that are all in a chronical
That recites events, times, and all epidemiological
Situations that alienate all that’s human and emotional.

The time of night is now!
Fill it with dreams that ever flow!
With perseverance, time that’ll have them landing in a glow.
