Thank you for the honor and your hard work.
Her Eyes
Her thick, wavy red hair flows
Around her face, framing a sensuous
Mouth, a retroussé nose, glamorous
Eyes, never crows but flies as windows
To her innocence and admiration
For a world whose good deeds
Are hidden like gems flying on steeds
Whose wings of change soar in liberation
Of the subjugated whose hopes
Had been dashed until they were
Perceived through her vision’s core
Of gratitude for gifts, treasures helping us copes
With desperation, disillusionment,
Dispondency, bereavement for the cheer
We possessed in our youth, but won’t hear
Of its resurrection because the illusion
Created by world media is of desperation
To be who, what you aren’t for integration.
