Her vision narrows through the arid hole Where she sees a man atop a hill, a mole Who helped in destruction of the earth Turning it into a desolate world of sand whose breath
Is filled with thistly particles that engorge The throat with thorns that need a purge Or turn health into illness, Living alone atop that hill in a listless
Desert reigning over despair Knowing that he was an active pair In the deterioration from beauty To sandy winds that topple civility
Into dunes where prosperity Is only for the elite, a conspiracy That turned the world into unquestionable Infertility, where hunger is undoubtable.
Through the peephole of her vision, Her tears flow quenching the parched station He stands on with the life giver, water Raining down in a vision of fertile harvester.

Oh ye of self-importance Have you woken from your delusion? Look beyond your nose at the stance Of those whose prancing is a vision
Of artifice, arbitrary, and filled With self-adulation, when one needs To look within, the core of what’s valued, As strengths while weaknesses need to be gutted,
As nourishment needs to reach its potential With the potence that will change One’s failings into successes partial To the susurations of peers, who range
In perceptions and influence, Impose their views without consideration Of whether their eminence Will disrupt your self-worth, contrition
As guilt’s oppressive weight Demeans your self-acceptance Entailing despair is at the height Of its influence if not for the persistence
Of your self-belief in your Power to overcome obstacles Thrown at you through life’s poor Journey of building the inner self.

In the depth of autumn’s fury, The day has a ritulant glow Encasing her gold tresses in a halo Of light As she holds her pen, poised, to carry
Her vision of a world filled with cheer, Shimmering over the river’s shore, Accepting her peaceful humanity where fear Is a forgotten feeling that seeps through pore
Flooding away its trauma, building New communities, integrated with purpose As she watches addictions evaporating And discipline, righteousness are the cause
Held dear to all. She keeps her pen Over the paper, wishing, wishing That life as she knows it dissipates into a hen- House, encasing all the negativity and fishing

Out the best of optimism’s cry That resonates into souls needing to fight.

Pile the perspectives of centuries of philosophies Humming different tunes in harmony Interpreting the meaning of life differently Losing leverage over life when it reduces, Oversimplifies realities into ideology that’s Secularly scientific without delving deeper Omitting hidden truths for Pushing their story, ideology that Hinders understanding the larger vision Yet to be seen when your blinders reveal.

All art is a view of life perceived Through the eye of the artist who Interprets his emotional response through The media of art he drew and traveled Into his world of choice where illusion, Pink tinted glasses, or blackened ones, are a division
Only the artist can create within the piece Of art that he sees in his mind’s eye, Reproduces it, and there’s always the fly That’s never as exact as the vision, a place
Where flexibility, imagination run rampant But can be recreated perfectly, So the artist’s interpretation of life’s study Is always in perfidy that’s recalcitrant.

Faery Princess
The golden headed faery adorned By her ringlets and curls, Winged Transparent wings on her back held Her aloft in her gauzy white gowned
Embroidered with multicolored flowers, From hem to chest, she glows With powers That flow through hands holding spheres Shimmering with imagination’s beautifiers
That blaze, like lightning, into the soul Filling them with an innate clamor for the hole Of creativity, ideation to bloom full Of inspiration, hard work that will dole
Out satisfaction in work done To achieve their visions that none Can attain without discipline, Hard work, faith, and a will of stone.

The poem, Life Captured, is part of my poetry book, Perfectly Flawed poetry for change.
Life Captured
Looking at life through the aperture of a lens Narrows your vision to only what it presents, Everything else is eliminated, erased. What happens to that backdrop that disappeared? Is your memory faulty, that it too evaporates it? Or is your memory vibrant enough to retain it? Or would you prefer to eradicate it?
There are times in life where having a limited View of an event can alter its meaning, and Dissipate its importance into nothing, For its effect on you, casual at best. Reliving Them is unremarkable, dispensable, and dreary Creating unnecessary despair when life is for living.
Other times when a complete view is compulsory For understanding and acting favorably. At such times, no minute detail is unnecessary, For they all create a holistic picture of the unsavory Events that play out in movie format, brilliantly Vivid in its details, sounds, smells, and actionably.
The scenes are relentless in their motions As they unveil their worthiness to us As the aperture of life is just a version Of all that’s around us, filming, storing, Even deleting or omitting the undeserving, Challenging the lies or liars, stating only verity, flying!!!!
