Voices Unbound Certificate for my poem, Rose’s Deity

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Roses’ Deity

Oh Aphrodite,  your white roses
Bloom to honor your deity, a groom
Of reverence to unwavering gloom
That pricked himself and turned them reds.

Yet those peaceful doves bestow
Calm innocence facing despair
With only thorns as weapons to repair
The damage done to the chaos that’ll blow

Up in the faces of those who’ve
Forgotten the hymns of gratitude
That revel in atonement embued
In simple living, where new beginnings have

Been lauded for their vision
Of graceful kindness, given, returned,
Through the fragile fairness, whose scent attracted
Its audience into presiding over confusion

With leadership in radiance,
Transparent in its intentions,
Gracious in its need for interventions
That create connections, reverence

For simple human kindness.

Certificate of Appreciation for my poem,  Hidden Garden

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Hidden Garden

‘In the garden where secrets grow,
Colors dance in a vibrant show’
As secrets grow in each blossom
Where rainbowed hues bloom

In varieties that astound the eye
Hidden from the sight of those who fly
By seeing only tangible beauty, while
This garden can only be perceived with the guile

Of childhood’s ingenuity that discerns
Patterns unseen by those whose senses
Have dulled with time. So, the child finds
The key that opens a doorway to gardens

Of Eden where the flytrap behaves
Like a pet, while the Cobra Lily heaves
Bubbles filled with rainbows that strive
To seep into the world with endless hope to give

The Death Camasa flair of colored scents
Dazzle the olfactory glands in a bid to circumventing
Its natural toxicity, for the child only sees beauty
While adults fear the unknown blindly.

Icy March!

As I watch from behind the window

Pane, the snow piled high on the sill

Obscuring nature’s rage as its spill

Of rain and snow creating a gifted bow.

Winds howling,

Snow swerves swiftly,

Banging lustfully

Straining, swinging snowy

Hands hurtling against cement,

Glass, trees, and bushes, swiping

At everything to get in, bent

On gathering warmth to keep their breath.

The heat it garners strengthens

It’s momentum and spits

More icy pellets, flakes of wet snows,

And frozen rain drops.

Icicles drip over bare bushes,

Maples, oaks, evergreens,

All dipped in icy transparent sepulcher

Foretelling breaks and deaths.

Nature’s peaceful gown,

It’s stunning frozen blaze

Will, with time melt and glow

In the blooming spring in a faze.

Silent Chaos

Reading ‘Silent Chaos’, a poem from my poetry book, Perfectly Flawed.
It’s about one’s ability to forget the world is there and focus on your inner-self’s need to be in a quiet place where your imagination can flow and bloom.
