Double Diamond Certificate for my poem: HomeLess

Thank you, administrators, for the accolade.  Your hardwork is highly appreciated.

HomeLess

What’s a home?
Who defines it?
Does it need a roof on it?
Can’t I live in the street and call it home?

Yes, my home is any corner
Empty,  that I can rest my back
And see any danger coming to strike
A chord of fear in me, as I lay in my corner.

Passersby don’t even acknowledge
My existence, they’re either isolated
With earbuds in their own world,
Or checking their emails, too busy to see and acknowledge

That some humans can’t live in a box
Of walls, as their mental health prevents
Them from accepting the quietude whose costs
To them is too high for them to stay in the box.

Look at the elderly man sitting quietly
In the corner street,  as next time he may
Not be there to greet you. His sad smile will flay
Your heart with its resounding might, quietly

Searching for the next meal from a compassionate
Soul who realizes that this HomeLess man
Needs help, but pride has cost him his pen
That wrote his story of a society that’s not compassionate.

Double Diamon Certificate: Faery Wonderland

Faery  Wonderland

In a faery wonderland, she’ll stand,
Hands held together in veneration for land
Whose fantastical beauty astounds,
Its colors: rainbowed pastels in grands

Accumulated in clicks of reds, blue,
Pinks, greens, whose hues flew
Across the bay, scattered haphazardly
In a motley crew of geometrically

Arranged order that’s breathtaking
In their form, as they stand as sentries breaking
….

A story of struggle that united
The varied creatures to be one,
As they strive to keep their beauty in a shrine.

Certificate of Appreciation about accepting Mental Health

Voice

I’ll help you express yourself
Using your voice, a unique view of life,
As your brain is wired very distinctly,
Your perception and attention quickly
Alter course, frame a request, chance
Repercussion for speaking, hence,
Your speech, clearly, portrays your views.

Review of my poem:

Break the Mold

Double Accrostic

Break out! Break the mold!
Remember to be  you       Me
Even when the going        gEts tough
Are you able to stand         kNowing
Kings entertainers         athleTes professionals

The fame all                 encompAssing never fails
Heading into disaster                 Losing self-respect
Even before showing your true colors.

Steadfast strong never          Holding back
Training accepting inevitability                     Employing
Ingenuity to excell in the face of    Adversity
Gleaning the training necessary Leaving nothing
Motivating growth to keep the          Team from
Annihilation by being the weak link Holding them back.

Appreciation and Acceptance

What’s something most people don’t understand?

With the social media promoting pleasure, sexual, alcohol, and drugs, there seems to be a move away from appreciation of what one has; but rather, they look above their finances to the stars, who seem to have more. Is the more they have make them happy? Not according to their social media or the gossiping mongers! That leads people to reject their socio-eco-racial standing and wishing for more. Ambition is a great thing to have, as long as it doesn’t get poisoned by greed and envy. Unfortunately, with the way social media and marketing are set up, people are looking to achieve things easily without putting in the effort of hard work.

Appreciation and acceptance of what one has is missing in people, and their drive for self-improvement is stalled by their own need for pleasure and emulating others.

Love

Love, loved, lover, lovely

Over abundance of being emotionally

Viscerally compassionate that strongly

Evolves as your love grows exponentially.

Be kind to yourself

Motivate your own growth with stealth,

Don’t let vanity be your wealth

But rather empathy becomes your breath.
