Poet, poem, poetry
Organize the images in the writer,
Every word is a symbol that will let
The poet achieve the portrait that will be
Remembered in all its glory of their bravado
Yearning to be heard with great pomp.
(Double acrostic poem)
…
Nature’s wonder enhances, amplifies your own
The vibrations of joy and discord implant upon
Nature’s own resources, and reflect them
Back to man, raising their optimism and exuberance.
Exert from my poetry book, Perfectly Flawed.
Uprisings, protests, rebellion, civil unrest, riots
Are forms of criticism to political systems.
All require courage, guts, and (lots of) blood
In order to be heard by the powers that be, as they laze in bed.
The latter line their pockets using hand gestures
To acquire and spend their ill gotten gains,
While those vying for change use peace
And the strength of their vocal chords to be
Their delivery system for their opinions,
They are always loud, proud, stout, and ground
Out of strength of the lands they’re defendants of
Valiantly trying to overcome overwhelming
Odds to live honorably in their homes, driving,
Driving away those who wish to turn them
Into lambs for the slaughter, as they rebel
Against injustice, inequality, oppression,
Subjugation, and destruction of unique ethics.
They use muscles, ingenuity, and individual powers
To forward their needs, knowing that few are
Heard, appreciated, acknowledged, adapted
Into a system that favors only those who corrupt,
Avid for power, willing to encroach on others
To possess what they deem as ‘necessary ‘.
When will we learn that humanity needs
Its world community to survive any difficulties
Unseen, small, large or in betweens?
We need awareness, acceptance, and self-love
To promote healthy relationships among family,
Friends, peers, colleagues, and everyone else who try
To help in the development of each individual child’s
Character who needs everyone’s support
To feel safe to express his/her emotions
And beliefs freely without enduring oppositions
That are degrading, demeaning, or cause destructions.
Unfold
Life has many folds, twists, turns, and abysses,
We try to unfold and straighten the creases,
But it’s a delicate job, even hazardous, as The folds are hidden and need to become clear,
Straight, and easily seen, analyzed, and far
From misunderstandings and misgivings.
Is it a thing to need unfolding?
The simple answer is: ‘Yes, it absolutely needs doing!’
In this world, where there so many possibilities
For problems to unfurl, it is imperative to realize
That clarity in speech and actions aren’t always
Perceived as they are, but rather given a political,
Even social agitprops that have tendencies
To insite people into violent and intolerant behavioral
Activities, that help increase gaslighting’s imposing
Ideologies. They incur great wrath, aggressing
Against others’ rights, stripping them of dignity,
Pride, selfworth, even their humanity.
As humans, we need to untangle our ingrained
Stereotypes by humanizing each other, and accept
The difference the same way we accept
That siblings differ, though they come from
The same set of parents, gene pool, and environment.
Always Been!!
Change, chaos, challenge, charm, chimp!
As I have always needed stability and certitude,
Life has thrown me many curve balls, making me limp
With the heavy burdens of life’s fortitude.
As I have always been a shy introvert, Life’s changes required me to get out of my comfort
Zone. I became a teacher, when that demanded
Being an extrovert, connecting wholly with my student.
As I have always been dirrect and honest,
It has given me trouble at home as well as at work.
I stood by my values, added some valuable insight
For my entourage and myself.
Learing from others
Is a necessity if you want to avoid falling into trouble.
It’s not demeaning to know you can grow and change,
Even if that means relying on others for help.
Being an introvert means, for me, that being among people
Is difficult, and commands all of my intellect
To be able to follow all the required social cues
And demands for certain behavior, responses,
Even patterns of speech. Implying great concentration
That taxes me emotionally as well as intellectually.
At times i feel like a chimp that is a horrendously
Mischievous creature that becomes nasty when
Imposed upon to be social while needing solitude..
