Published in Wheelsong Poetry Anthology 8

I’m honored to have 3 of my poems published in Wheelsong Poetry Anthology 8.  Each poem has a different themes using different poetic forms to enhance the message i want to forward.

I implore anyone who wishes to give back to society to buy a copy as all profits olfrom the Anthology go to the charity to help hungry children worldwide.

Ghouls of War

Moguls of war, ghouls that store,
Store away resources for a grey,
Grey day when needs are felt,
Felt in empty stomachs covered,
Covered by a rock to stave,
Stave the incessant hunger pains,
Pains that fog the functioning brain,
Brain needing nutrients,
Nutrients absent in war torn homes, …

Two Way Street

I lay in a fetal position,  my head
Cushioned by his heart, in a beat
And rhythm that puts me to sleep, a feat
That takes time, trust, comfort instead

Of weariness, worry that stress,
I lay my head on his chest, dreaming
Dreams of innocence that fled, tears streaming
For losses galore, knowing he’s my vest that’ll press …

Poetic Castle

Poetry is my castle where every
Room’s walls are painted in my poetry
The building itself is antiquated in poverty,
But each chamber is filled with rhymes eternally …

Review for my poem, The Sea

The Sea

Colors, oh Colors of the sea
Dazzle my eyes to see

Your beauty’s blue hues
That impress our views

Of many blues: turquoise blues,
Greenish blue, yellowish browns, in special purviews

Where waves clamor to touch shore
In a uproar of rebellion against the sand floor

That speaks to capture its treasures
By displaying them to humanity’s burrs

As their speech, music, song, laughter
Only receed as the sun explodes in color

In a splendor of yellows, and reds
That blend into sparrows of reeds

Changing in harmony with the depth of
Fear that time ends with this falling night that’s enough.

I sit on wonderment on the seashore
In contemplation to be sure

That life’s bliss rises and falls,
Happiness comes in waves and balls,

While nature of the sea stays true,
Unchanging except for the seasons blue,

So enjoy the joy of the quiet balm breeze with
Compensation for a troden soul lifted to breathe

As Memories sway in the waves to freeze
In a captured picture to rest like bees in trees.

Accolade for my poem, Gentle Core

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Gentle Core

Look, look upon the Azure blue sea
It shines brilliantly of hope for all to see,
No storms, battles, violent death mar
Its crystalline shores with dismantled bodies, far
From blemish free for purity, innocence

That need to flourish in childish
Wonder, grow their curiosity without polish
So their imagination is catapulted
Into the stratosphere of flight, never endangered
For war is a foreign concept without gore

They thrive on challenges galore
That make a humongous score
Into inventions, creations that never bore,
Using them To improve life’s spore
That’s harvested with gentle kindness of the core.

Diploma for my poem, Therapeutic

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Therapeutic

The seascape, verdant in color,
Coalesces green and blue hues in favor
Of reds, purples, and yellows of sunsets, brighter.

The water flows in cadence with my heart,
A beat that travels within the water’s part.
I fling myself within it, swimming at my leisure; start.

Enjoying the feel of the silky water
As it envelopes my body with heat, that’s better
Than being alone as I sweep away tears: left for later.

They would stain my paper and ink,
Telling me it was time for a break
From life’s realities that weigh me to the brink.

At the sea, the smells, painted sky,
The sounds of crashing waves hitting the shore by
The second are therapy for a broken soul to fly.
