Certificate of Achievement for my poem,

Thank you, administrators, for the accolade and your hard work.

Youth or History

Don’t fall for the tripe of a conquering
Civilisation that wants to change you, integrating

Its morality, ethics, culture, and language
Assiduously, calmly Conquering the age

You live in by making it attractive
To all ages to turn away, as a hive,

From your history of warriors,
Chiefs, educators, and financiers

Whose beliefs are slowly eroded
To be replaced by the imposer that did

A casually psychological war
That divided families placing a bar,

Tangible in its flux of life,
As it reduces familial relationships to strife

And a love for the material
Replaced with everything that’s callous, cruel.

Their optimal goal is surrender
Of all that’s uniquely You, into a pretender

Whose history is dismantled
By its complete erasure and monument.

Diploma Certificate for my poem, Veiled Butterfly

Thank you,  administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work.

Veiled Butterfly

Her veil of flowers and butterflies
Flit around her head as her eyes
Wander into the night skies.

Her beauty shines through
Her astounding eyes of blue,
Framed by lashes of a brownish hue.

Her rosy lips stutter with each
Winged flap, trying vainly to catch
The flight of the butterfly and latch

Onto its fringes and take flight
With her fantasms in direct conflict
With reality’s nightmarish bite.

Her lashes flutter as her revelry
Into a utopian wonder clashes sensibly
With a reality where her veil is horribly

Marred by Stereotypes that bind
Perceptions of beauty of the mind
To terrorist activities that make you grind

Your frustrations for a lack of understanding
And communication that’s building
Roadblocks that inhibit freedom of living.

My poem, Byzantium Gardens is published in Stencils Magazine

I’m honored to have been a participant and a published poem with this magazine.  Enjoy your reading.

Byzantium’s Garden

As I look upon the changing season,
The variety of colors from umber’s rich
Brown, fertile soil, going into hiatus for reason
Of the cold, cooling the ground, coloring a stitch
Of amber, yellow, gold, yellowish green,
All turning into nutrients for a fallow lean

Land in need of Amaranth to renew
Its vigor to produce a wonderland
After hibernation in winter, a review
Of the upcoming Byzantium garland
Of a garden, waiting, waiting patiently
For the right circumstance to grow wildly

In a rush to present faery
Flowers, a rainbow of colored plants,
Heliotrope, lilies, roses, carnations, covertly
Awaiting the cooling spring springing, like cats,

Into view grabbing your attention
By tuning the scene into an idyllic
Creation, where reverence to beautification

Is necessary for the purification
Of a heart filled with desperation

To be awakened into the translucence
Of a world enveloped in nacre opulence.

An opulence filled with Faith’s gratification.

Award of Excellence for my poem,  Beyond Comfort

Thank you, administrators,  for the honor and your hard work.

Beyond Comfort

Where does life begin and end?
Not in birth and death, no, not at all.
It starts when you reach a bend
Of road least taken and soar in a ball

In the sky that helps you perceive
The limitations you’d set for
Yourself,  yet, when you set it to a sieve
You’re awakened to receive the bounty for

Leaving your norm and discover
The unknown world beyond
The sphere of comfort and ponder
Why it’s taken you so long to find

The courage to experience life
Beyond the borders of your
Comfort zone that lited you into strife
Of habitual drudgery that becomes a chore.

Award of Appreciation for my poem, You Are the Moon

Thank you,  administrators,  for the honor and your hard work.

You Are the Moon

As the moon, alone in the dark sky,
Its light lightens the darkness, like
You, whose presence illuminates by
Existing alone, emblazon cheer’s bike

That rides an uneven trajectory
Leading a life that radiates your flight
While you light your path, cautiously
You navigate using the kindling within to bite

The darkness with fear that’ll hunger
To dissipate your glow of optimism,
But your spirit and light will glitter
And smolder the fire against pessimism

That oppresses in the night,
But, you combat its limitations
By letting your positivity soar, a kite
Flimsy yet strong enough to conquer trepidation.

Accolade for my poem, Feather’s Journey

Thank you, administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work.

Feather’s Journey

Spring sprang in spite of the spell
Of frozen winter thawed with a bell
Of flowing flowers whose colors
Display their beauty while nature’s gay borders

Spin into a jeté budding into flowers,
Multitude of shapes, sizes, colors,
Overflowing between leaves leave
The shade above, around flowers to weave

A tapestry of beauty that’ll cleave
Your heart if Marred to be taken apart. Heave
A sigh of relief when gazing on nature’s
Industrious workers, as bird feathers

Highting each spring color to guide
Your attention to protection against the waved
Encroachment of population on rich soil
That’ll never be a foil

For contemplation of the feather
Garnering it power of flight tower
Over the leaves adorning them in beauty
And freedom to see the world fully

Aware that the feather has traveled
On the wind, free, soft, colored
Varied species, nubile in its aerodynamic
Ability to reach the unreachable, as it’s bucolic.

Certificate of Participation for my poem,  Karma

Thank you, administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work.

Karma

All man-made laws have loopholes
That help people become fools

For not striding the narrow path
That emblazons morality in a breath

Radiating Karmic laws of wisdom:
Actions demand reactions, while calm

Patience are rewards in themselves,
As well as reducing regret that halves

Your wasted time on your perception
Of a past long gone, when the now’s convention

For living with all that’s happened before,
But focusing on your motivation to perform

Better today and tomorrow,  for noone knows
What the future holds except what we make of it that blows.

Blows away our expectations
Into the stratosphere of humble imaginations.

As we take the pose to meditate
Theses thoughts flutter on the overflowing plate

Of responsibilities, endless, sapping
Energies that need rejuvenating

As quiet solitude is a necessary boon
That settles the soul from its frantic cocoon.

Certificate of Excellence and review of my poem, Peace of Mind

Thank you,  administrators,  for the honor and your hard work.

Peace of Mind

What do geography and belief
Have in common? You ask yourself.

Well in every area in the world
People’s faith manifests itself as an umbilical chord

That pulls you towards strengthening
Your innate belief wherever you’re living.

Nature that surrounds you there
Inspires your discipline in faith that you’re

Applying by using your tongue to appreciate
The GOD given gifts, by using senses to venerate

The creator’s ingenuity in the beauty
Of simple things in life that are sturdy

In creating a depth of faith that’s
Indestructible for it, your spirit permeates.

The geography of faith is internalized
For it exists within and without, hard

To dislodge their meeting in a space
Whether vast or confined in your mind’s peace.

Diploma Certificate for my poem, Faerie Princess

Thank you,  administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work.

Faery Princess

The golden headed faery adorned
By her ringlets and curls, Winged
Transparent wings on her back held
Her aloft in her gauzy white gowned

Embroidered with multicolored flowers,
From hem to chest, she glows With powers
That flow through hands holding spheres
Shimmering with imagination’s beautifiers

That blaze, like lightning, into the soul
Filling them with an innate clamor for the hole
Of creativity, ideation to bloom full
Of inspiration, hard work that will dole

Out satisfaction in work done
To achieve their visions that none
Can attain without discipline,
Hard work, faith, and a will of stone.

Accolade for my poem,  Swimmer’s Regret

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Swimmer’s Regret

Art has many forms that astound,
Paintings in oils, acrylic,  water colors,
Poetry, imagery, similes, metaphors,
Sculptures of: wood, metal, ice, garbaged

Items repurposed into beauty that dumbfound
The beholder, listener, audience,
Whose aim is to be moved by peace
That’s striking In its presence to abound

In frames Of a sea cradling a swimmer,
Embracing his every stroke with power
To be driven to complete the competition as per
The rules, self-imposed, to strive for better

Health, wealth, status, and self-acceptance
That doing your best to achieve
Your goal is a noble undertaking to live
Without Regret of passed opportunities and brace

For the turbulence of life, mirrored
By nature’s squals, tornadoes, quakes
That compel fear to rise, never breaks
The mold except for those whose faith is grounded.

So the swimmer cuddles through
The cresting waves, never deterred
By the onslaught,  pushes toward
His goal letting life sink into pores that flew

Into the stratosphere, accepting
The warmth of the ocean as it entwines
Life’s struggles with joy that rhymes, like vines,
With belief’s empowering structure of believing.
