Marvelous melancholy meandeers Eternally in darkness, entering eagerly Leading a life leery of lies letting your Armor augment your auspicious audacity Needing the support of friends, family, Creating a buffer to melancholy’s Hold on emotions that lend a hand to Overcoming despair’s grip from Loss’s leveling your blubbery heart, Yielding to an overflow of emotions, needing a cap.

Thank you for the honor and your hard work. A review of the poem by Erica
The poem “Starlight” by Malak Kalmoni Chehab fits perfectly with the theme “Cosmic Musings”! The poem beautifully explores the symbolism of starlight, using it as a metaphor for hope, optimism, and confidence.
There are 12 lines in the poem. Well done, Malak Kalmoni Chehab!
Some potential strengths of the poem include:
1. *Imagery*: The use of vivid descriptions like “bright living stars,” “shimmering wonder,” and “shooting star” effectively evokes the celestial theme. 2. *Emotional resonance*: The poem explores the emotional impact of starlight, conveying a sense of hope and optimism.
The poem’s message about finding confidence and strength in the symbolism of starlight is inspiring.
Congratulations 👏
Starlight
The darkened night sky is populated By bright living stars that brightened All our nightmares, giving us the radiance That bundles us in a cocoon of confidence.
Such shimmering wonder shines into your soul, Adding hope, optimism, an irrefutable scowl That repudiates all pessimism, darkness, And the need to succumb to its insidious whispers.
The murmur of such powers is devastating If not fenced and bound. Placing It in a securely locked chest, that is impossible, To open when your will inters it with all that’s enjoyable.
Revere the wondrous effect of shooting star That lightens your burdens and shines a spotlight Upon all that’s good, wondrous, loving, bright, And endlessly supporting your strengths from within.

If “Love opens the most impossible gates;” and “Love is the gate to all the secrets of the universe.” Then, love is all powerful, eternal, rebellious, never bland, But compassionate promise In a universe
Filled with dissent, competition, a love of money, And sin. I give thanks that my love, husband, Is my rock, my motivator, and one key To my writing that’s unwavering and always holds my hand.
My love is there for the difficult decisions, Guidance and friend to our children, Has sleepless nights when they’re in positions Of upheaval that require strategic precision.
For me, he is my star in a dark night, The shoulder I cry into when life’s unbearable Losses enrobe my heart in darkness, as he helps me fight The devouring abyss making it acceptable.

Love’s Poetry
As light is hope and all that’s bright, Learning to love in the sun illuminates Your perception on values, character, that fight To blot out negativity that’s darkened puss
That festers as an abyssimal blight To optimism whose courage roars in Flight to piece together poems whose bite Is only a loving caress, as their images pin
Your beauty from words to face, wrinkled From endured hardships but glows With the passionate compassion of being loved. As you shower me with languid eye’s light, the fight throws
Away the scourge of love’s broken heart By filling papers with poems that brook No argument to its plight in trying to strut The words in verses and lines that cook
Your presence into the essence of love Unbroken by a pessimistic world that implodes When amour is at its best fighting in brave Behest of a soul needing rest in paper adobes.

What’s poetry if not an agglomeration Of words in rhyme and rhythm? A world of poetic devices, accommodation Of varied styles, structures that’s not grim?
What’s a love story If not one that has a start, Climax, and end that’s happy or gory? Where pink tinted glasses reflect
The author and audience’s Need to escape life’s duties, stresses That place tremendous pressures On couples needing one anothers happiness
Without needing to compromise Or putting in the hard work required. ‘What’s love?’, in that case? That’s the staying power of being loved,
Loved for yourself, Loved for your strengths, weaknesses, Loved for your imperfections put on a shelf, As your greatest power shines in smiles

Abomination
Life with depression, isolation, Low self-esteem are conductive To lead some into destructive Behavior: drugs, cutting, suicide, in submission
To peer pressure, an abomination Played in schools and social media Who has subliminal criteria That provides some collateral for creation
Of a compulsion to hurt others, knowing Of the resulting confusion that will Lead to unfortunate decisions that kill The will to live free of the castrating

Each time I get a review like this, it motivates me to write more and connect with those who can’t, or won’t, or couldn’t, or shouldn’t be able to express themselves.
This poem is a result of falling back into past trauma based on the wars that’s taking place in the Middle East, Lebanon, Syria, and P@l3st!ne.
