Certificate of Excellence for my poem, Vanity’s Curse

Thank you, administrators, for the honor and your hard work.

Vanity’s Curse

From the swirling darkened fog
A wisp of a gorgeous woman
Wrapped haphazardly in blood red smog
Alive in its flow as she moves, an

Astounding beauty, captivatingly attractive,
Sensual, and her sexuality bared for
All to consume closely and become enraptusured
By a fiery beauty hiding an insidious core,

Horrifically rotten with envy,
Hatred, corruption, aggression,
All coalesce within her stare, a visionary
Of destruction, disunity, strife that lend to perfection

Into her spiderweb of infractions
That destroy unity’s equality
And fairness that require absolutions
From a community that venerates all that’s holy.

Wherever there’s equanimity
She presents chaos and superfluous vanity.

Certificate of Excellence for my poem, Rainbow of Rain

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Rainbow of Rain

Rainbowed love starts
In red hot passions
To orange hearts expanding,
To yellow glow brightening
The green of acceptance, change,
And growth whose prosperity
Turns into liquid blues,
Those of summer skies
Filled with potential of rains
That alter fallow lands
Into plentiful harvests.
The same as love’s abilities
To change others from singles
To a unit that expands
With the colors of rainbows
That are always varied,
Exiting changes that carried
Your worries under two mind
Supporting one another in a find
Filled well of love that carries
Change like loving swaddles
Embraced in four arms of loves.
The journey begins with a meeting,
Attraction, connection, all can be fleeting,
But you sacrifice, compromise, communicating
All your hopes, then, them entwining
Like the purple wisteria, two souls
Becoming one, growing a family that cools
Their stresses, soothes their anger,
As their flow is like the ocean water,
At times tranquil, others terrifying squalls
That end in making up sessions, falls,
Never, for they’re committed
To one another, wedded.

Certificate of Excellence for my poem,  Reflection or Refraction

Reflection’s  Refraction?

Mirror,  mirror, ‘Who am I looking at?’
Is that face, mouth, nose, all mine?
Mirror, what do you see when you look at
Me? Is it just my beauty and thine?

Have I no substance in your mind?
Haven’t you born witness to the depth
I hide behind the broken smile that’ll find
A hidden maze to secrete screctets in a breath
That creates a brume on your shiny
Expanse? Does it fog my reflection
Of a life lived, enjoyed, even chose empathy
For the plight of others under destruction?

As the image is reflected back at me,
I wonder on the choices I made,
The trajectory I took, is what has come
To be a reflection or refraction of things that fade?

Certificate of Excellence for my poem: Rebuild Her Vision

Rebuild Her Vision

In her mind’s eye, she sees the new,
New city built on the ashes, rubble,
Rubble and destruction of war,
War that took away family,
Family whose lives were taken,
Taken violently in bombs,
Bombs whose yield was astounding,
Astounding even objective observers,
Observers of world’s humanity,
Humanity whose humane compassion,
Compassion never fails to rise,
Rise in younger generations,
Generations whose conscience,
Conscience in battling against oppression,
Oppression of the Indigenous,
Indigenous populations for material,
Material resources that rebuild,
Rebuild what was destroyed,
Destroyed cities become futuristic,
Futuristic, symmetric, organized,
Organized to represent power,
Power of Faith’s survival,
Survival among death’s door,
Door that opens into a brilliant,
Brilliant future, where equality,
Equality, wisdom, harmony,
Harmony of races, understanding,
Understanding that unity,
Unity is forged in steel,
Steel that has a feel,
Feel for needs of families,
Families whose support, love,
Love and ambition is a construct,
Construct of a world of utopian,
Utopian haven on earth’s astounding,
Astounding beauty that enraptures,
Enraptures our imagination into,
Into creating our heavenly vision.

Certificate of Excellence for my poem,

Thank you,  administrators,  for the honor and your hard work 👏

Blooming Spring

Bloom, blooming,
Blossom, blossoming,
Sprout, sprouting,
Live, living.

The greens and burgeoning bushes,
Flowers, and trees are heady bees
Working hard to overthrow Winter’s
Deadly stagnation by flipping switches

That spring with bubbling streams,
Vibrant greens, and flourishing branches
Heavy with new life seeded by birds
And the bees.

How is it that you can see growth
Within the beauty of nature and mouth
Off that you’re an unbeliever in faith
That GOD exists and helps the resurgence

To take place, while beauty that usurps
The dreary with life that cups,
Embraces, and soars into the cusps
Of quiescent delicacy, flawless in its

Need to beautify the world with
Its wondrous fragility, whose growth
Into stupendous strength,
Refreshes your belief in Godly faith.

As spring springs with sublime
Beauty, festivities abound In a crime
Against nature, as man destroys time,
That can’t return, as feasting needs a compromise

For harvesting can asphixiate
The breath in the soil seeking a fate
Of rejuvenation while waiting in a straight
Line, awaiting death’s suffocating blow.

Certificate of Excellence for my poem: Valentine

Thank you, administrators, for the honor and your hard work.

Valentine 💝

He calls me angel for thee,
I gave him another three,
Two girls balanced by a boy, that be
Hearts that are intertwined with me
And need greater space than the tiny heart in me.

My valentine keeps me lively,
On my toes, thinking compassionately
Of his needs, comfort completely
Incorporated into my routine, daily
Trying to accommodate them freely.

As we dance rhythmically
All worries melt away, elegantly
As our arms are our cauldron that empty
Into hearts overflowing of peacefully
Ingrained and growing love decimating all worry.

Certificate of Excellence for my poem:

May’s Matron

March into view
Trying to review
The occurrences of the year’s cue.

A mom’s rejuvenating love
Pushes you to believe
That tomorrow will relieve
Your anxiety and turn it positive.

Her influence is a font of information,
With wisdom conquering the defamation
Of news, knowledge, and experimentation
That are the backbone of socialization.

As spring springs in May,
Mothers recharge their Ray
Of sunshine that illuminates the Flay
Of your strengths, but with her you’ll Prevail.

A day in a year is not enough
To the importance of her presence that’s tough
To replace, since her nature’s nurturing will laugh
At the presence of any that are demeaning to her kiddo.

Certificate of Excellence for my poem: Mom, Habibti

Thank you,  administrators, for the honor and your hard work.  This poem is very close to my heart since it’s about mother’s and our fears.

Mom, Habibti

Mother, moma, mum, mama,
Who are you?
Are you just the giver of life?

Mom, madre, mami, mam, ma,
What would you do to protect your babe?
Legal or nefarious means?

Mother, oumi, mama, Haha, mà,
How do you love equally all your babe?
Do you prefer one over another? Why?

Mam, nanay, habibti, ema, mamma,
How do you empower all your babe?
Do you compare them and demean some?

Mami, mother, mom, love, Ema,
Love me for me!
Never send me away or leave me!

Mum, mother, maman, madre, Ema,
Don’t break my heart to leave,
Don’t break my heart and hate me!

Certificate of Excellence for my poem: Peace’s Breath

Thank you, administrators, for the honor and your hard work.

Peace’s Breath

Round, round goes the world
In a merry-go-round filled
With laughter, life, violence,
Death in a grim cycle needing peace.

Peace for the young whose
Disrupted childhoods froze
With wars’ colonizing program
To alter countries’ cultures for a flame

Feasting on disintegration of families,
Cultures, languages, civilizations whose priorities
Are fostering longevity by strengthening
Community’s peaceful bonds, wishing,

Wishing for the propagation of unity
Against an army of aggression, violently
Expanding its reach into disharmony
Among land, people, conquerors, passionately

Striving to compensate murder
Rather than an orchestration that’ll ponder
The need to revitalize a willful strength
Embued with peace’s powerful breath.
