Rest, relax, rebuild, relive, revive, Never rewind to the time when fighting was live, Bombarding my surroundings with burning Flames, explosions, bullets whizzing, Safety is nonexistent, danger surrounds you, Fear of a stray feud or knife are behind you Or beside, or ahead of you; never inside you. Your heart stays pure, needing to help Never stop giving and receiving hope, Or the fighting ends, You lay down your arms, Surrender to hopeleness and despair, That’s when fear reigns and overwhelms. Give your loyalty, love, hope, and optimisms Freedom to grasp your faith and expose It to the sun, let it soak its warmth in a pose Of reverence to God’s powers of prose In which your strength bursts, warming You from the inside, till its beauty sings A rainbow of colors illuminating your skin With its brilliance. Bask in its wonder, Revere its words and sleep calmly, a dreamer.

Her hazel eyes look into the mirror, What she sees is a wonder. In the reflection, ‘La Vie en Rose’ Covered with a pinkish screen as she pose.
She lifts her hand, extends her index, Grazes across the glittery surface, that’s a fox, Wily and intent on showing her only Beauty, utopia, family, and community,
Trying haughtily to impose a vision Of fidelity, that’s as wrotten a passion As Eve’s apple; who thought it would Impower her with Knowledge, Immortality
When, in reality, it highlighted her Faults and sexuality through a picture Of nudity and immorality. Her curiosity, pride were her downfall from all heavenly.
The gorgeous woman’s gaze turned Inward, subconscious awareness aged With centuries of data, she becomes Cognizant of the struggles of generations
That tried not to give her her power. The power of a woman that’ll never Let pride, shame, sex be the means used For her destruction that stays unpardoned.
She’s swiftly swung into a new Path, where women are revered, as few Are, for their strengths, nurturer, Culture, and self-awareness that is a propeller
Into an age of her distinction, acceptance, Integration, and sociopolitical presence. A long journey whence she grew Out of a subjugation in a pew.

Gentle Core
Look, look upon the Azure blue sea It shines brilliantly of hope for all to see, No storms, battles, violent death mar Its crystalline shores with dismantled bodies, far From blemish free for purity, innocence
That need to flourish in childish Wonder, grow their curiosity without polish So their imagination is catapulted Into the stratosphere of flight, never endangered For war is a foreign concept without gore
They thrive on challenges galore That make a humongous score Into inventions, creations that never bore, Using them To improve life’s spore That’s harvested with gentle kindness of the core.

Diamonds glitter in her ears, studs of stars Shining brighter than the moon, Pearls adorn her neck, snowwhite flakes bares The city scape in a romantic glow, flown
With the wind of time as another Holiday season, decorated to impress, Flies by with a peaceful blanket of snow, a cover Of harmony, calm flow of steady Snowfall dropping on her jeweled Hair and neck, icy cold, bright gold, fluffy, Velvety feel like a mother’s hug, hold,
Love, eternal in its giving grace As she too, with time falls down As we grow old while youth’s stately Presence melts like the snow shown
At its season dissipates, replaced By spring’s colors, warmths, brilliant Colors that shine brighter than diamond’s encased In a vine wrapped in wine on a neck, elegant
Never gaunt but sparkles and haunts Memories as transient as the snowflake That touches, melts, becomes water, a font Of changes just her her stylish break.

Fire, Fire, Crack and pop as a crier Instigating happy hollers for New Year Regretting nothing as the past is gone Ending a chapter, starting fresh With shimmers of rainbows of colors Opening a hole in the sky with glimmer Rebuking regret, wholly endorsing Hope for Kindness, grace will reign in the coming year Sentencing the fire of Regret into a closed casket.

Courage thy name is Woman! You’ve shown us your resilience In the face of adversity that can Drive strong men to their knees in case Their worries overwhelm their ferocity, Which is tempered by Her steadfastness And confidence in Her ability To nurture, when needed, cutting honesty That’s never ending in its compassion.
Her armor, mask is that of love. Her empathy lifts Her up. Her education is Her weapon, a dove, White, for its peaceful cup. She’s endured degradation, oppression, Slavery and desperation beyond Caution, She moves into dominion With Her tolerance that’s Her bond.
Bond of her heart that instigates The need for freedoms.
