Evil’s Moon

On the night of the wolf moon
The wolves howl to one another,
Communicating their feelings in a leer,
A gross grin that hounds the soul, a goon,

Fierce, a horrific distortion of beauty
As the full moon, its crevices, darken
The night into a fearsome howl that’ll blacken
The depraved souls into coal, crusty

In consistency, flammable, evil,
Evil reigns with its oppressive
Weight, that governs stagnant, progressive
Deterioration into lunacy that coil

Around the heart, squeezes,
Till the suffocating of goodness prevails
Seeking to seize all faith, beliefs,
Throwing them to the wolves, scavenges

In the unholy darkness
To spread depravity, not faith.

My children have met someone
That might become their
Partner, a life partner,
Whose aim is to keep both, never alone,

To start a family of their own.
Dealing with advice, first disagreement,
First time meeting anxiety lent
Some insight into meetings flown …

Mom, Habibti

Mother, moma, mum, mama,
Who are you?
Are you just the giver of life?

Mom, madre, mami, mam, ma,
What would you do to protect your babe?
Legal or nefarious means?

Mother, oumi, mama, Haha, mà,
How do you love equally all your babe?
Do you prefer one over another? Why?

Mam, nanay, habibti, ema, mamma,
How do you empower all your babe?
Do you compare them and demean some?

Mami, mother, mom, love, Ema,
Love me for me!
Never send me away or leave me!

Mum, mother, maman, madre, Ema,
Don’t break my heart to leave,
Don’t break my heart and hate me!

Happy Valentine 💝

Wishing everyone a happy day to love freely without hindrance.  Life without love becomes dreary and unlivable.

  I hope you enjoy my poem about this celebratory day of love, compassion,  understanding,  and being there For one another.

Sweet Bear

Teddy bear,  teddy bear,
Your honey colored fur is the softest
Velvet,  whose satiny sheen takes care
Of your compassionate heart
That’s all too aware of the hazards
That love has to overcome to stay
Strong in the face of peer pressures
That stung, like bee stings in play.

Love’s Tune

Oh ye longing for life’s love
Hoping that holding hands
Heralds peace’s heavenly heaving hearts
Warming away the ice, waylaying the dove

Whose mighty hope in a world
That throws tantrums if the heart
Falls for its soul mate, whose burst
Of lava of emotions is a refrain that hold

A symphony of their making,
Dancing, singing to its tune,
At times frisky, bluesy, romantic, straining
To hear what’s unheard, love in a dune

That breezes alter and never
Croon in rhythm of trends that bloom
In antithesis to love’s truer
Form that never lets down the groom.

Love’s Poetry

As light is hope and all that’s bright,
Learning to love in the sun illuminates
Your perception on values, character, that fight
To blot out negativity that’s darkened puss

That festers as an abyssimal blight
To optimism whose courage roars in
Flight to piece together poems whose bite
Is only a loving caress, as their images pin

Your beauty from words to face, wrinkled
From endured hardships but glows
With the passionate compassion of being loved.
As you shower me with languid eye’s light, the fight throws

Away the scourge of love’s broken heart
By filling papers with poems that brook
No argument to its plight in trying to strut
The words in verses and lines that cook

Your presence into the essence of love
Unbroken by a pessimistic world that implodes
When amour is at its best fighting in brave
Behest of a soul needing rest in paper adobes.

Upheaval

Coup d’état! Civil Unrest!
Rebellion against a colonizer, a pest,

Businesses men, family men
Gathering together are arrested, put in a pen,

No pillow, blanket, toilet, only a feast …

… , ethics strive
To cause trouble in the hive

That western society creates
For immigrants needing a place to forgets,

As trauma continues its hold, bold
In its fight to take root, but I won’t, under it, fold.
