Accolade for my poem,  Lone Leaf Wonderment

Lone Leaf Wonderment

As a lone yellowed leaf, I remain,
Hanging precariously onto the branch,
Looking onto the ground, where my vain
Friends have all fallen while greenish, now, out of reach,

They lay on the fallow earth
Blanketing it with their dried crunch,
As passerby ignore their presence ignoring the cloth
That beautified nature, as they stomp them in a bunch.

Lonely, alone, my tears fall unnoticed
As I try to mourn all I’ve lost:
Friends whose radiance has died,
Family whose love has extinguished and thrust

Me, alone, in an unforgiving world,
Where what once was is easily forgotten,
While all those empty voices rise in a cold
Empty entourage who’s lost compassion and been

Swamped with the material world,
Living in solitary confinement,
On a schedule that bind
More then prison bars in an accoutrement

To integration in a society, powerless
To make a change in their community
As technology and self-isolation progress
Towards being captivated by superficiality

Of surviving rather than living
In faith, hope, their power and force,
Naturally protect believers in believing
In the existence of hope and communal peace.

Certificate of Outstanding for my poem, Sea’s Sunset

Thank you, administrators, for the accolade and your hard work.

Sea’s Sunset

The clouds climb high, like mountains
In the sky, some are smaller and stains
The sky, like a painter, with red, pink, blue,
Orange that coalesce Into a darkened view

Of immeasurable beauty of the setting sun
Burning the sky’s clouds with its breath that’ll run
Over the setting sun with a scenic beauty
Unparalleled by any ‘Man’, for the creator, wisely

Intensifies the pull to nature
So that it increases our faith’s cure
For depression, stress, anxiety
That are alleviated by streaky

Waves that pummel the shore
With a power whose core
Is just three atoms, but their strength
Comes from their unity of breath

That lives for all to enjoy
If only you take the time not to be coy
In appreciation of the majesty that is
All around you, and found within the peaks

Of waves, white foamy appearance,
But feel and taste salty which grace
The sand with an abundance of plentifulness
That eases the pangs of hunger without avarice.

My poem, Cathedral Lights,  honored by Invisible Poets

Thank you,  administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work.

Cathedral Lights

As the night covered the sky in a blanket
Of black,  the sudden lights in the tower
Lit up, like a Christmas tree, fit for a fight,
The most important one: Faith, prayer,

And belief in the here after
Whose work takes place in living
A life of discipline, a strength barer
For it gives you power for knowing

When to listen, stay calm, or fight.
Looking upon those brilliant
Lights is a beacon of peace at the height
Of chaos, violence, and war that can’t

Be put out, but that Cathedral,
Its age, architecture, and what it
Stands for: peace, acceptance, a call
To self-respect by realizing that belief built

The Cathedral within with all its
Grandor, elegance, survival, and brilliance
That outshines any building whose parts
Are man-made, while its faith has an innate luminescence.

Bronze Certificate,  poem: Perfection

Thank you, administrators,  for your hard work and the accolade.

Perfection

Quintessence is godly
In that our wishes to attain it are but vanity;
As our imperfections make us humane
While we endeavor to attain

Perfection’s domain requiring
Hard work, strength of belief, boasting
Becomes nothing but detrimental
As it stagnates our growth in a looping cycle.

Knowing that quintessence
Is always a step away from ordinance
As there will always be something
New to attempt to achieve, as roving

Minds will need fuel for growth,
Which demands improving, in stealth,
As one needs to learn in steps
Before moving towards newer goals, in steps.

Two Certificates of Excellence

Loose not End (exert)

To lose or not to lose,
That is the question that’s not a ruse.

Failing to achieve your goals
Can be a piercing knife to souls

That fall into depression if their
Goals are delayed or failed, their flair

Is indomitable in its will to overcome obstacles
That bend your will, but it’s never broken or stills.

Betrayal (exert)

Of my country and of my family
I have little to say, except that funny
Interactions are not always sunny …

A country’s politics and sense of justice
Can disappoint. Its favor is sandy grace
That’s gritty, scratchy, and hurts in place
Of unity that proves our solidarity in face

Of torment, terror, injustice, that train
Citizens in complacency that will rain
Upon them death, disillusionment that fain
A reality that exists in dreams that are slain.

2 Certificates of Excellence in 1 Day!

Yayyyyy!

Sky, Soil, GOD

As I look above, the sky’s scintillating
Colors, whether sunrise, twighlight, sunset, or night
They inspire moods that vary, like colors devoting
Beauty to your every versatility, like a kite
In flight, I realize, GOD, is all around
Doling out beauty for your joy that’s found

In being beside you when times
Are exciting, cheerful, depressing,
When you look down upon ecosystems
Surrounding you with miracles, outstanding
In their simplicity: ant home, beehives,
Even larger predators, the need survives

In each one, human, animal, insect,
Knowing YOU’RE present everywhere
Above, below, and at our side. In fact,
That knowledge is what initiate
Our appreciation for all GOD’S creations,
Also innately aware of your presence’s jubilations,

That empower all to subjugate
Negativity with optimism, transforming
Our core into being compassionately humane.

Cupid’s Valentine

The month of love and adoration
Is the shortest one of all!
Not all happiness can be packed into its summation,
Short, though it is, it’s effects are a ball!

In its center, couples celebrate their love,
As if, you only praise your unity then!
And every other day falls short of its possessive
Hold on your cheery life filled only with a pen.

The one you use to organize your life,
Strategize your next goal, perfect compassion
That leads to compromise and less strife,
While dissent and enmity to envy’s fashion.

Duty and love are two sides of a coin,
Where duty can choke the life out of veneration
As it stomps out the cheer from your conjoin.

Bronze Certificate

Hold and Release

Hold, hold onto the fleeting sands
Sands of time, slipping, sliding, gliding,
Gliding along your fingers, sticking,
Sticking with muddy matter as it lands,

Lands in crumbs, crystallized pellicules,
Pellicules, colored, reflecting light,
Light that has the might of hopes,
Hopes that are flimsier than sand’s plight.

Plight of a continuously flowing bowl,
Bowl, forming, disintegrating, blazing,
Blazing a trail, making inroads, Hansel style,
Style that helps you find your way home,. Honing,

Honing your abilities, like the sand castle,
Castle changing shape, hearing, experiencing,
Experiencing upheaval of life’s emotional,
Emotional grind that shatters peace, raking,

Raking your soul into strips and crumb,
Crumb, that your creative hands glue,
Glue back together, to form a superb,

Superb soul that glitters,
Glitters in the sun, and shimmers,
Shimmers in the raven sky, bringers,
Bringers of hope, elusive but tangible, elevates humans.

Reading and reading

How do you waste the most time every day?

My first love is reading. I’m a junkie for all types of romances, poetry, news, and the Quoraan. The first 2 are there to improve my writing style and incorporating new forms into my poetry. The news, however, I use in order to add eco-socio-political issues in my poetry.

Now, your question would be, how are the readings then a waste of time? My answer is that they all give me an escape, a world that I interact with that’s entirely mine. Perhaps it’s selfish, but I believe each one serves a purpose for me.

As for the Quraan, that too is an escape into faith, where belief, ideals, and values are unchanging, clear, and just. At least, that’s my perspective.

Questions … Worries …?

What do you write about when you’re unsure what to write about?

I fear my feelings are binding my ability to write today. I apologize for that, but then you have to give age its due. With it comes: fatigue and unending worries. In the world we live in today, where war, a crisis in food supply, increasing inflation and gas prices, where or who do you turn to to alleviate some of that pressure?

I try to stay strong for my family by keeping it bottled in. But how long can I manage that?

My only recourse is my faith, in which I drench my soul. It has the ability, with GOD’S words to place a balm of peace over a worried soul.

Try it, you won’t regret it.

Old Beliefs: ‘God’

Exert from my poetry book, Perfectly Flawed, “Old Beliefs: ‘God'”. Belief in God can help advance society rather then break it.
