Red- Winged Blackbird
Walking through High Park in May, Watching the sun shining, while my heart’s gray, The birds flit around, soaring, twittering, Singing their songs of love and grieving
As they reflect spring colors in the Red- Winged Blackbird, male, whose beautified The sky with his colorful presence And song of harmony with nature’s opulence.
He skims on the lake, greeting the loving Swans, whose necks form a heart holding On to their peaceful punion. The blackbird Opens his wings and the red, yellow winged
Flighs back to the cherry blossoms Whose white, pink, flowers calms The disheartened souls without a qualm As it promotes serenity that’s a balm
As their delicate transience Is a reminder that life flashes with a purpose Of acquiring wisdom, family, money, To live a life of harmony like a monkey.

Sunrise
Every day, without fail, the sun rises It shines its intangible Rays, like fingers Caressing your skin, body and limbs. Everyone of them ends in special memories, As each day brings in new events. Some times, those are sad and lonely, Others are depressing and gravely Affect your humor and oddities. They can take you into a dark abyss Of despair, and return with cheers. Inspire you to believe in one more sunrise, That lifts you above the murky fogs, Into clouds, of such pristine whites, That their glare overpowers, While your fogged windows, from your breaths Show your anticipation forwards To one more unbelievable sunrise, That becomes your muse for life’s Unending wonder, transience, and colors. Rainbows of which come out after the rains, Reminding those bogged down to rise Rise to the challenge of beauty and lived lives.

Vanity’s Curse
From the swirling darkened fog A wisp of a gorgeous woman Wrapped haphazardly in blood red smog Alive in its flow as she moves, an
Astounding beauty, captivatingly attractive, Sensual, and her sexuality bared for All to consume closely and become enraptusured By a fiery beauty hiding an insidious core,
Horrifically rotten with envy, Hatred, corruption, aggression, All coalesce within her stare, a visionary Of destruction, disunity, strife that lend to perfection
Into her spiderweb of infractions That destroy unity’s equality And fairness that require absolutions From a community that venerates all that’s holy.
Wherever there’s equanimity She presents chaos and superfluous vanity.

Mirror, mirror, ‘Who am I looking at?’ Is that face, mouth, nose, all mine? Mirror, what do you see when you look at Me? Is it just my beauty and thine?
Have I no substance in your mind? Haven’t you born witness to the depth I hide behind the broken smile that’ll find A hidden maze to secrete screctets in a breath That creates a brume on your shiny Expanse? Does it fog my reflection Of a life lived, enjoyed, even chose empathy For the plight of others under destruction?
As the image is reflected back at me, I wonder on the choices I made, The trajectory I took, is what has come To be a reflection or refraction of things that fade?

Man’s Rejuvenation
The garden begins beautifying bloom As the birds start tweeting harmony’s tune Waking all nature from its dormant time Into a rainbow of brightness In June That destroyed depression as nature’s Beauty envelopes symphony’s prayers Lifting soul from morass of stagnation.
Its simple beauty reigns supreme over All that man turns complex When it’s simple Pleasures around are enjoyed better When all is shared with loved ones, whose ample Support surrounds us in a balm of peace As contemplation of beauty helps fleece Negative into positivity.

Best Friend
Her shiny mahogany violin Lays gently under her chin As she strums lyrics of a magical Build, pleasing the listener in a sparkle
Of harmonious sounds transporting Her into a veiled world, rosy, blessing Its concordance in a cacophony Of rhythms rumbling, hurtling freely,
Soaring into the sky, leaving stress Behind a locked door that’ll impress Those who wish the reality rather Then the dreamy world of a conqueror.
She strums her harmonious melody, Alone, in a forest filled with astoundingly Cohesive creatures within nature’s Bounty that she serenades with music’s layers
Of joy filled cries in reply to strumming Violin notes flung into the breeze, melding Soundlessly within the whistling Air that rustles the leaves’ dancing.

Remorseful Actions
As the guilt presses down on my heart, I look into the sky towards your hut, Where your gardens prosper, And delicacies abound, but never shatter
Your serenity that enrobes contrition With a balm of faith leading to absolution For actions that might have created A snow ball of reactions that fenced
Calamities in your midst, propelling You into regretful actions causing Others pain while striving not to fall Apart while the pressure turns into a ball
Of explosive events That need you to barter millions of cents For your soul in penitence For actions coming out of ignorance.
