Award of Excellence for my poem, Jeweled Darkness

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Jeweled Darkness

Good and evil struggle to outshine
One another, while evil seems
To be winning as it destroys families,
Creates dissertation, addictions that fine

The unity of community for egotism
Reigns superior in darkness
While light’s haven needs fullness
Of discipline imposes on catechism

To succeed at goals that engender
Hope, laughter, lightness of soul
For those with compassionate tool
Of love with oppress evil’s darker,

Fear that’s entrenched in subconscious
Culture that reminds one of their lower
Status in order to stay as the controller
While the victim falls if not for the courageous.

Platinum Certificate for my collaboration poem with Dr. Frieda Norma Dela Cruz,  The Inverse Light

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

THE INVERSE LIGHT
By MalakKalmoni Chebab, Canada and
Dr. Frieda Norma Dela Cruz, Philippines

Malak
Shadow, oh shadow of mine,
I can only see you not feel you,
What are you made of? Do you
Touch me, unbeknownst to me and mine?

Frieda
You are made of “absence” and of night,
A “gap” where day’s bright promise fails,
Yet, when the burning sun inhales,
You are a true and inverse light.

Malak
Of darkened shadow of mine,
Shine your darkness into the key
That lingers on my soul, never flee
Leaving me alone, you’re fine

Frieda
No, I will “lock” the lonely door,
The self you hide is where I dwell,
The well from which your deepest spell
Understanding flows to pour.

Malak
Oh shadow of mine,
Steer my journey into light,
Caress my courage, keeping it bright,
Carry my darkness and imbue a line

Frieda
I am the “anchor” that you cast,
The deepness proving what is high,
I cannot vanish, nor will I,
For all the truth you seek is massed.

Malak
Of shadow’s tendrils to cry: ‘mine’,
For its loud whispers hover blindly
Over me, protecting my soul kindly,
So shadow, heal me and mine.

Frieda
I am the “mirror” where you find
The strength you thought was lost outside,
Embrace the dark where dreams reside,
And know the light lives in your mind.

Review and accolade for my poem, CHIAROSCURO

Thank you for the honor and your hard work. I always wait impatiently for your comments.  Thank you

CHIAROSCURO
Chained light,
Heavenly bright
Incessant shadow, don’t
Avert the radiance of justce
Reflecting right’s light
Offering hope when despair is
Somewhat easier to drown in, while
Courage to fight the battles of equality
Under the umbrella of darkened power
Revealed in rays that shine a ritulant glow
Over the dispossessed of humanity’s light.

Diploma for my poem,  Cradled Moon

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Cradled Moon

Dressed in white, hair, a golden flax,
She lays on the fluffy white cloud
Bent in a fetal position, arms hold
The fluorescent moon under chin, lax,

In rest, she poses a vision of calm
As the moon shines brilliantly
In a frame to keep the fearfully
Looped worries away from her palm,

And creates a luxurious beam
Enrobing her in warmth Of light
As she slumbers in the clouds’ soft, bright
Lumanescence whose role is to brim

With courage and fight against
The terrors within, A heroine never
Given any fame, but like the moon, it’s a killer
Of monsters that create panic, at a cost

Too high to endure, if it were not
For the peaceful moon laying in arms
Breaching the towers of fright, it calms
The dread, horrors that she faught.

Certificate Award for my poem, Heart’s Dialogue

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Heart’s Dialogue

Oh heart!
If you could speak
What would you say? A beat,
Two, three, a squeak,

A tweet, a butterfly’s wing
Swings in soaring flight
Letting the beats sing
Their song of freedom, bright

Diurnal light shimmers
In flight a beat of harmony
Starting within, speakers
Belt out optimism’s loyalty

To faith, Belief, humanity
Wearing blinders to pressures,
Social, career, imitators, honesty
That seems to be researchers

Of one’s identity in a world
Teaming with too much variety
Of labels that grind and bind
Our conformity into piety,

While the heart stomps
Into a tamtrum of morality
That doesn’t blend but clamps
Its hold, trying to drown your honesty.

Let your heart speak
It won’t steer you in directions
That deepen the morass that’s belak,
Rather to happiness filled adulation.

Diploma for my poem,  Her Aromatic Windowseat

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Her Aromatic Windowseat

She looks out of her window
Where the darkness covers the world
Beyond her room filled with pink roses, in low
Vases, littered on her windowsill, not a coward,

She watches the storm brew from within,
Safe in her harbor, a haven of scents adorn
Her with mystique, incomparable to the crow who built in
Its home outside her window in a flow of corn

Ears reaching up to the sky, pleading,
Pleading for rain to steep the soil with
Life giving water, rejuvenating, healing,
Giving abundance where famine takes away breath

Of life on a scorching summer day.
She watches, lightning flutter in brilliant light
As thunder booms its might, scaring those in play
With extenuating fright whose plight

Will drown out their fears, replacing
Them with a pinhole of hope shining
Through the darkest raven blackness flying
Into the sky with optimism sparking

A deluge of creativity unbound by earthy
Trifles that bog the soul into a rut of endless routine.

Review and Gold Certificate for my collaborative poem with Vikas Arora,

Malak Kalmoni. Chehab
Vikas Arora
My warmest greetings!

Yes! The collaborative poem connects with the theme of light and shadow.
Analysis of the Poem
The poem directly addresses the theme of light and shadow both literally and figuratively. It uses the contrast to explore concepts like creation, balance, emotion, and human nature. Here is a breakdown of how the poem connects to the theme:
Creation and Balance: The first stanza uses the “shadows” as the origin of creation, with beauty being born “into light.” This sets up the idea that light and dark aren’t just opposites, but are intertwined and necessary for a balanced whole.
Metaphor for Emotions: The poem extends the metaphor to human experience, comparing “pathos” (suffering, emotion) and “richness of soul” to opposing sides of a coin. This parallels the relationship between light and shadow, suggesting that both are essential parts of our inner world.
Literal and Figurative Light Sources: The poem mentions the sun and moon as literal sources of light and shadow, but also gives them metaphorical roles. The sun’s “ablutions” and the moon’s “passions” are presented as forces that “coincide in stabilizing” the world. This reinforces the idea of balance between contrasting elements.
The Unavoidable Shadow: The second poem brings in the personal, unavoidable nature of a shadow. The line, “Wherever you may go your shadow stays with you,” emphasizes that our “shadow” or darker side is an intrinsic part of us, a constant companion. This suggests that we cannot escape the duality of light and dark within ourselves.
The poem consistently uses the duality of light and shadow to represent other opposing concepts like chaos and order, emotion and soul, and the divine and the mundane. The recurring idea is that these forces are not meant to be separated but exist in a state of interdependence, contributing to a harmonious or “mellow” whole.

👌Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful collaborative poem.
👏Congratulations! 👏👏🌷🌷🙏🏻🙏🏻🎉🎊

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Theme: Light and shadow

Within the shadows, creation came from chaos
A reign out of which beauty was born
Into light, where balance isn’t a horn
That divides but embraces the two sides, pathos

And richness of soul, are opposing
Sides of the same coin of emotions,
Equipoised similarly to sun’s ablutions
And the moon’s passions coincide in stabilizing

A world where chos reigns and order
Is an afterthought for the selfish
Who are ruled by egos, pridefulness that dish
Out inequality destroying balance of the creator.

Light and shadow
Light and shadow are two sides of the same coin they make us realise that God is divine
The sun disburses energy and light while the moon spreads bliss and blight
The dawn heralds the arrival of the sun while the dark gleams because of the moon
The shadows of the sun and moon may vary and may be of different size the god has bestowed upon us his prize
Wherever you may go your shadow stays with you whatever else may leave you your shadow stays with you
The light and shadow make our mother earth mellow

Certificate of Achievement for my poem,  Twilight Darkened Light

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Twilight’s Darkened Light

The night’s fading darkness
Is illuminated by filaments that glimmers
With piercing reddish hues
Into a horizon of fading darkened blues.

With each touch of brilliant, glinting light
The scenery is transformed,  bright
As a white pigeon in heightened flight,
Soaring, like Icarus, too near the sun’s slight

Heat that tenderly caresses its feathery
Wings across all living things, bravely
Broaching the new day optimistically,
Knowing that man’s destruction will invariably

Alter the breathtaking beauty of sunrise,
Twisting its vibrancy into shades
Of tenebrous grey, colorless, and lifeless,
As everything becomes hopeless.

Let each new day be your oath
To be stronger than the sun’s breadth,
As you emulate its depth
Of strength, that reigns above all in stealth.

Accolade for my poem,  Blue’s Castle

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Blue’s Castle

On a baby blue sky day, the castle
Enrobed in golden rays shining
Off arched windows, bright ball
Reflecting the lives, deaths that call

Out to the living, teaching wisdom
From history etched on walls,
There’s always a place and time
For all around to learn and come

To conclusions that help the living
Improve their plight by learning
From history’s lessons without any whispering
Of war or fight that has corpses lying

Out of sight. The whale statue adorning
The outer walls, inviting, spontaneous warning:
All to enter its domain, peering
Into a long gone era of traversing

Centuries of wisdom runs into
The Renaissance era of science
That delves into all that’s tangible, a foe
To faith that’s documented in books that grow

In importance, for the morals
Within are a blessing for the intelligent,
Who want to reduce their workload, calls
Out that learning from experience isn’t a falls.

Certificate of Achievement for my poem, Love’s Poetry

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Love’s Poetry

As light is hope and all that’s bright,
Learning to love in the sun illuminates
Your perception on values, character, that fight
To blot out negativity that’s darkened puss

That festers as an abyssimal blight
To optimism whose courage roars in
Flight to piece together poems whose bite
Is only a loving caress, as their images pin

Your beauty from words to face, wrinkled
From endured hardships but glows
With the passionate compassion of being loved.
As you shower me with languid eye’s light, the fight throws

Away the scourge of love’s broken heart
By filling papers with poems that brook
No argument to its plight in trying to strut
The words in verses and lines that cook

Your presence into the essence of love
Unbroken by a pessimistic world that implodes
When amour is at its best fighting in brave
Behest of a soul needing rest in paper adobes.
