Award of Appreciation for my poem,

Thank you,  administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work.

Bound Butterfly

Though her wrists be bound
Their elegance and movement do astound
Their delicate strength holds life
In its tiny yet powerful softness rife

With rules: social, gender, political
That bind her moves further and dell;
Arms bound In chains as a butterfly rises above,
A symbol of fragility,  metamorphosis, love,

Beauty that instigates the ability
To change, adapt into new environment, happily
Flitting through life knowing, knowing
Its beauty will soar from plain to crumbling

Mountains spreading knowledge,
Purity of heart,  its muse for an adage
That’ll live on after the butterfly ‘s death
And the bound woman, but their breath

Filled with hope flies, like a kite,
Spreading harmony, that’s always bright.

First Place for a collaborative poem,

Thank you, administrators, for the honor and your hard work. Justice Kingsley, it was great working with you.

Building Bridges of Hope

Dusty roads and crowded streets,
Echo dreams with weary beats.
Hands once torn by toil and pain,
Now reach across the loss and strain.

Through power cuts and skies of grey,
Hope still finds a way to stay.
A hawker’s smile, a neighbor’s cheer,
Soft whispers drown the weight of fear.

No bridge too weak, no dream too small,
Together, we can rise from all.
With grit and love, we pave the way,
For brighter nights and fairer days.

Building a physical bridge
Is easy while bridging Stereotypes
Requires eons of activism in an age
Where using social media as capes

For their unruly behaviors
Spreading hate instead of compassion,
Understanding that colors
Your actions into the starvation

Of the soul’s need to integrate
As society breaks those bonds
In a bid to better control the story of hate,
To the aim of breaking bonds that holds.

Diploma Certificate for my poem: Weddingdress

Thank you, administrators, for the honor and your hard work.

Weddingdress

In a crowd, he’s become her anchor
In a life where anchorage has no harbor,
A refuge after an exhausting day,
She needs her home’s solitude to pray

That loss will be a long way away,
That the ecstasy felt as her weddingdress would flay
In the breeze, sending shivers that play
On her skin, a symphony of beauty that’ll flay

Any difficulties into crumbs, unconsequential
In its ability to destroy the partial
Power of love and faith that are palatial
In overcoming Insurmountable obstacles essential

To the development of morale, ethics,
Which solidify the anchor and home’s
Unity whose dock is the hearts
Divesting their impurities to be combined as ones.

Certificate of Excellence,  poem, Existential Void

Thank you, administrators, for your hard work,  and for choosing my poem for such an honor.

Existential Void

Double Accrostic

Extenuating circumstances       Vie to the
Xysti to try and rest                     Omitting
Intentionality of an existental voId
Sublimating intensions of       Destructively
Tumultuous wars within that try to
Eradicate despair’s darkest emptiness,
Never allowing it to overflow with
The love, faith needed to defy    Villany
Interminable in its need to destrOy
Astronomical strength that         Intensifies
Living in the light of hope, never Denouncing the void.

Certificate of appreciation

Another poem, another certificate, the honor is humbling! I love writing, but when given a prompt, I feel the need to look beyond the picture and find the unknown element behind its beauty.

Certificate of Achievement, Cigarette

Cigarette đŸšŦ

Holding it with my fingertips,
Caressing the paper filters,
Lighting a match, inhale, exhale airs,

Air that’s stuffy, foggy, stinky.
It casts an oppressive smell,
That you try to outrun like a bell

Ringing in lunchtime,
The smell becomes a halting
Breath that stalls in your lung

Fighting for oxygen’s purity
To flush out the dreadful
Odor that sticks to hair that fell,

And clothes that have a stench
Of smoke, driving you to asphyxiation
As you endeavor to hide from the pulverization

Of aromas that bleed deposits
Into bronchials that hinder
A normal breather.

Have you gained/lost weight?

What is one question you hate to be asked? Explain.

If I’ve lost weight, rare, then I’m happy. However, I’ll have gained it it, and it shows around my stomach. That area is very sensitive for me, as I’ve had 2 bowl obstruction surgeries, so no matter what I do, I’ll always have a tummy. The good thing about it though is that it shows that I enjoy life/food/ desserts. 😋
