Review and accolade for my poem,  Love’s Masks

Thank you for inspiring me to continue to voice my thoughts in writing that appears to be pleasing.

Love’s Masks

Share your inner thoughts, ideas, ideals,
That power your imagination and hails
Down upon you, admiration, envy that entails
You have to choose who needs some derails.

Today, we hide behind our likes,
Our social media personae that drives
Our self-esteem into the grounds
If it’s not up to par with our peers.

Why do we hide?
Is intimacy such a bad ride,
That you need masks to keep all inside?

Or do you soar in flight
Fall, shatter, break, and give only a bite
Out of the ball, then turn it into a free for all?

Love’s power only grows
As love is exchanged and plows
Dissent into an abyss of darkness

Where it’s devoured by happiness
Of love shared and empowers hopefulness
In a world that dictates the reign of the Ego.

Gold Certificate of Achievement for my poem, Chiseled Face

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Chiseled Face

As I face the face on the wall,
Its chiseled, geometric form
At great odds with my rounder fall
Of jaw, cheekbones, wavy hair, crome

Colored eyes, show me a wall
Of grey sheets, strong, heavy
In its ability to crawl
To adventures in imagination’s wavy

Thought process, while the wall
Is 2D, unmoving, emotionless in prestine
Condition for a crazy ball
Where all that’s required is his presence, fine

In looks but empty for no thoughts on the wall
Except surviving, not living, and weathering
The changes in environments, a call
That brings out the eco-protector to come dancing.

As the writing on the face of the wall
Is eroded with time, so the face’s identity
Is erased like dust in a breeze that will
Hold you into its warmth and fly into memory.

Accolade for my poem,  Lone

Thank you for the accolade and your hard work.

Lone

One
lonely
Boy, shy
Tries making
A friend flying
Into the unknown,
Lonely.  One. Loneliest
Number ever. It tests hardest
When you’re surrounded by familys’
Best, whose envy alienates you farthest.

Standing alone with a whirring world
That’s confusing, struggling blind,
Into unknowns that surround,
Bind your moves. Loud
Is the thunder around
That drowns bad
Decisions
Needing
Greater
Care.

Certificate of Excellence for my poem,  Symphony of Harmony

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Symphony of Harmony

The soft white snow is falling
Blanketing the world in peaceful
Harmony, where jingles soar in joyful
Solidarity, blending hopes, dreams strumming

Words of uniting families and enemies,
Erasing negativity,  murder with the priority
Of funding hope, compassion,  Humanity
As we get together facing dangers in symphonies.

Certificate of Appreciation for my poem,

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Wishing for Death

As you age, wisdom flits in moments,
Unexpected as they happen quietly,
Without fanfare, they turn disappointments,
Successes into an arduous world where honesty

Equality, and values of empathy
Have flown the coop and landed on depravity,
Turning goodness to a selfish policy
That rots humanity from within, And honestly

Watching the evaporating humanity
Within drives a sword into our hope for the future
Of society that’s sold its soul carelessly
To the highest bidder for avarice is a prayer

That never lets up, while the joy
Of Community’s standing together
Has rusted shut the chains of hope in a ploy
To resuscitate ethics’ splendor.

This disillusionment makes me wish
For death earlier so as not To watch
Decadence become their sole purpose, a brush
And it’s a contagion that sucks the soul into a hatch.

6th place for my poem, The Sea

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

The Sea

Colors,  oh Colors of the sea
Dazzle my eyes to see

Your beauty’s blue hues
That impress our views

Of many blues: turquoise blues,
Greenish blue, yellowish browns, in special purviews

Where waves clamor to touch shore
In a uproar of rebellion against the sand floor

That speaks to capture its treasures
By displaying them to humanity’s burrs

As their speech, music, song, laughter
Only receed as the sun explodes in color

In a splendor of yellows, and reds
That blend into sparrows of reeds

Changing in harmony with the depth of
Fear that time ends with this falling night that’s enough.

I sit on wonderment on the seashore
In contemplation to be sure

That life’s bliss rises and falls,
Happiness comes in waves and balls,

While nature of the sea stays true,
Unchanging except for the seasons blue,

So enjoy the joy of the quiet balm breeze with
Compensation for a troden soul lifted to breathe.

Certificate of Excellence for my poem,

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

HELL O WEAN

The past year has been worse than any
Halloween as it was actually HELL O WEAN …
The Hell of being weaned on what’s seen
On social media’s snippets of genocide, carry

With it atrocities of dismemberment,
Beheaded children, fetuses gutted, children
Bullseyed by snipers, flour lines broken
By bullets whizzing past victims of bombardment.

So hello, HELL O WEAN, we see
Your inhumanity,
Your unlawful abiding personality,
Your insouciant attitude to killing. Be

The Hell in our Haloed Halloween for you’ve
Shown us that: unity is strength,
Gen Z still has a conscience whose breath
Of freshness is awakening those who’ve

Followed blindly behind HELL’s demand
For subservience to its god given
Right to rule the world with a broken
Set of laws that are man-made but bind,

Bind those whose ambition
For power is greater than their compassion.

Accolade for my poem, Halloween’s Halo

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Halloween’s Halo

The halo on Halloween’s head
Heads a direct divide into dense
Fields with scarecrows on the fence
Actively aspiring to anchor a bird

So it doesn’t touch the harvest
Longing to be free to shadow dance,
Sing to the moonlit sky in a prance
That would make Dasher envy his behest

For his life is a feast of danger
Watching as prey, monsters, try
To decimate crops not theirs, and fly
Away from the field, a test, reckoning, closer

As the night darkens to a raven’s
Blackness where fear leaches
Into pores, unseen by ghosts, grinches,
Ghouls pouring out of sepulchers cravens

For their fear reeks like cyanide,
Death speeding through rows
Of crows, corn, wheat, pumpkin bows
That cinch nightly ghouls on a ride

To feast on fear’s far-reaching farm.

Accolade and Review for my poem,  We Did Everything

Thank you for the honor and your hard work. The day i get a review is always a good one, whether it’s good or bad is irrelevant to me, as I want a reaction.

We Did Everything

We did all we could …
Yet, genocide is as deadly as beheading,
Death is as real as your breathing,
Living is as traumatic as a horrifying cloud.

We did all we could …
But child amputees are running marathons
To survive but another day as pawns
Of politics that’s gross as it hammered

That “We did all we could”, clause
That left pregnant mothers to die,
Elderly to fry in fire’s explosive dye,
Fathers to be scattered in pieces in cruel cries

That “We did all we could”, was
Said to assuage politicians’ conscious
While knowing their endeavors were shackled in pious
Prison, whose doctrine permits rapes,

Whose haze in, “We did all we could”,
Evaporates in the fog of time that flies
Without scheduling its prime in trauma that cries
Out to be understood, yet, their voices loud

And proud in the hopeful quagmire of guilt
Of surviving, whole or not, presses
In the abyss of despair where hopeless
Orphaned, erased families, press to built.
