The simple joy of stringing words together to convey your innermost feelings is a great challenge, as well as going out of my comfort zone. I’m flabbergasted by the support of my followers and their input.

Our bleeding, broken hearts of clay And blood bleed profusely in a cup Overflowing with torments of war that sup On hope’s depression that hangs in a bay
Turned blood red in a husk of hay, Dried up hope that can’t stay alive In a world that seems to have forgotten to strive For peace, for their compassion is blown astray.
HIS palms safeguard the pieces of hearts Pulverized by visions of deadly murder On screens that bring screams of mother, Father, children in horrific suspension as parts
Are blown to smithereens and only identifying Thing is the ink on limbs carrying names Of children in black, that gets erased as flames From explosions erode any ink stains remaining
On skin that deliquesces from being scorched By burning flames that flutter over Corpses, gas that dematerialize any cover With its combustible matter, a deflagrated
Hideous serpent that swallows everything In its path and ignites into a colorful, reddish blaze That only receeds upon engulfing the craze Of all that is in its path, turning it to a Phoenix rising from ash.

The night’s fading darkness Is illuminated by filaments that glimmers With piercing reddish hues Into a horizon of fading darkened blues.
With each touch of brilliant, glinting light The scenery is transformed, bright As a white pigeon in heightened flight, Soaring, like Icarus, too near the sun’s slight
Heat that tenderly caresses its feathery Wings across all living things, bravely Broaching the new day optimistically, Knowing that man’s destruction will invariably
Alter the breathtaking beauty of sunrise, Twisting its vibrancy into shades Of tenebrous grey, colorless, and lifeless, As everything becomes hopeless.
Let each new day be your oath To be stronger than the sun’s breadth, As you emulate its depth Of strength, that reigns above all in stealth.

Like the roots through which life Flows, fluctuates, and grows, flowers, Bushes, forests blossom with ease, protectors Of nature require no rewards in strife,
Drought, flood, or perfect weather, Kindness given without expectations Grows its own roots, foundations For the hereafter that require prayer,
Respect given without limits, Belief in the intangible, angels, Nature’s wonderment, peace fills Our hearts as we give and pits
Our disappointments against Harvesting morality’s seeds Granting Our harmony that pleads For compassion’s empathy, a breast
Shoulder you can rely on in the worst Times, for you’ve given freely And your reward comes in heavenly Support from all you’ve helped, the best
Conveyors of unrest, for they Request only your grain of kindness In a yield of pure emotion, bless The quay where you can rest every day.

Problems’ Peace
Problems, Problems galore gyrating To a beat only they perceive, thumping Blood into vessels that can’t cope with ease As anxiety and worry are a great tease.
Running is a breeze as playing The ostrich is quite frankly abetting The delay of facing what you fear, The problem that has you sleepless, but you revere
Your lack of confrontation that hurts, You think it would be too harsh and hurts Others, in reality, the pain is transient When the logical mind realizes its penchant
For hiding from problems only Delays the enviable explosion that rarely Comes without detrimental effects That affect the resolution of the pests,
That carry within them the ability To destroy from within peace’s fragility.

Giggle’s Memory
A smile, a laugh, a memory, a thought, All coalesce into memorable visions, Sounds that light up your darkest thought.
My baby’s laughter as a child, adult now, Continues to not only brighten my days But also is an effective antidepressant taking a bow.
As the memory of her tinkling laugh Spreads an inner peace in my breast, I fall back into envisioning the day she was born. Enough
Time has passed, but her musical Laugh has evolved from giggle To full blown belly laughs that bubble
But never pop as her optimism Isn’t a prop, rather its centered in faith, Bound by our love that enveloped her in grim
Strength to suppress all that can Depress. She rises above difficulties With a smile that shines like the moon On foggy, oppressive raven black, nights
That simply disperse as her laugh lights The sky with power of brightness That never dims in all the time it casts.

Nothing lasts forever except time, Time that rhymes with grime, Grime that distorts our beauty, Beauty that’s transient, never lasts in bevy Bevy of buzzing bees whose sting Sting is deadlier than any bombing, Bombing of others to assert power, Power that leads to atrocities of murder. Murder or death will take us, Us too quickly, for time flies, Flies away As you stake, Stake a name in this world, World that demands your blood, Blod, sweat, and money, Money to live honorably, careening, Careening swiftly in society, Society that binds your values, Values you live by to survive, Survive the war of fleeting life.
