Please pray and provide peaceful Elemental needs for those in danger of Armed military conquests, who Convene to critically splice countries to support their Economies and spread fear of their power.
I’m flabbergasted by the honor of this certificate for my poem: Athena, based on a picture prompt.
Athena
Her resplendent beauty gleams In the raven sky, her star shines Brighter with her golden armor, protective Of her vulnerabilities, as she needs to survive. Its glow is there to strive To outlast the unbeliever who stirs the hive.
Her might glistens and reverberates Throughout her vicinity, vindictive as it propels Instability, division, dissention, and war! Booming war cries echo their strengths, none bar Her entry, as she subjugates those weaker Through fear and magic of her glittery armor.
Those whose insolence is hidden behind their Camouflage of piety, are two, three faced, where They keep their dissonance locked, So their perfidy is unexpected, And the humbleness nothing but beguiled Discourse that pleases the open hearted.
Beware of those wearing lambskin, But are in reality cutthroats whose noggin Is an empty shell that requires It to be filled by others to act out wars.
Woman in my dreams, Hazy features covered, as you please, By groundsels whose hairy filaments Soar around her, blankets Her from head to toe, Trying vainly to get closer to blow Its velvety softness in a Tornado Of white that sweeps in an elegant flow.
She contemplates its fragility, Wondering at the reality Of how daintily flimsy Its flower is, while its stem is definitely Rooted in her heart, prettily Proving it’s longevity.
She reverently catches a blowing Head, as she admires its flowing Dance, whose strength is glowing In a sensual litany that’s dizzying.
Dream of the flower that nestles Its thorns into delicate hearts That beats for imagination that bleeds.
Hold, hold onto the fleeting sands Sands of time, slipping, sliding, gliding, Gliding along your fingers, sticking, Sticking with muddy matter as it lands,
Lands in crumbs, crystallized pellicules, Pellicules, colored, reflecting light, Light that has the might of hopes, Hopes that are flimsier than sand’s plight.
Plight of a continuously flowing bowl, Bowl, forming, disintegrating, blazing, Blazing a trail, making inroads, Hansel style, Style that helps you find your way home,. Honing,
Honing your abilities, like the sand castle, Castle changing shape, hearing, experiencing, Experiencing upheaval of life’s emotional, Emotional grind that shatters peace, raking,
Raking your soul into strips and crumb, Crumb, that your creative hands glue, Glue back together, to form a superb,
Superb soul that glitters, Glitters in the sun, and shimmers, Shimmers in the raven sky, bringers, Bringers of hope, elusive but tangible, elevates humans.
This Honorable mention is for the following poem based on the below picture:
Flow of ONE
Sitting alone, Surrounded by water’s flow, Nature’s song humming in a glow Of tweets, buzzing, crackling, whine, All in a spontaneous symphony in a crown Of glory, seeping into the soul in a halo Of protection against a throw Of reality imposing a tun Of fear, that’s clear.
Enjoying The simplicity of a world Governed by nature’s cycling Between life-and-death, beauty and terrifying. The openness of a world that relies on its principles, Automatically reduces dessension, as dividing Is done innately, reverently, loving Every difference, embracing Our merging as ONE.
The lightest touch Of soft lips that blot Out the world in a single brush Of velvety skin mesmerizing Thoughts into emotions Of focused adoration That binds.
Filaments of love Grow in a perpetual Movement of exponential growth, When two become one, and They, in turn, become A family, where Kisses vary.
Many loves Abound around us Filling our lives with motivations, And supremacy in emotional Balance That renders Us better able to Love freely.
My tagline would be: smile!. From this simple movement, requiring only 13 muscles, while a frown demands 47, one can extrapolate that smiling is a more natural expression and promotes greater happiness in self and others. I have a philosophy: “A smile a day, keeps the doctor away!” Yes, I’ve appropriated a change in the actual saying, but it’s a Writer’s prerogative to do so!
Perhaps some will feel that I’m being too simplistic, but before you judge, try it out and see the reactions you get!
SMILE
Smile willingly and spread happiness Milling around, hoping to find an Interaction that lifts hopes and dreams, Living vicariously through a SMILE Empowering others to drop depression in a file.
I’m already salivating just thinking about it! The chocolate has to have a smooth, rich taste that coats your tongue, leaving an after taste of cocoa sweetness that will keep my happy endorphins doing cartwheels. When I’m craving chocolate, I prefer it to have no other aromas or tastes added to it, or it will take away from the flavor of the chocolate.
I’ve always been like a kid at the candy store when I search for just the right choice of chocolate bar when I need it most. That’s why I’ve written an Accrostic poem for CHOCOLATE
CHOCOLATE
Crave choco’s chocolate, Having a hit is heavenly indeed Over the open bar Covered in crumbs of chocolate, the Overely delicate flavor Leaves nothing to be desired. Ate, eat, happily jumping Through the hoops of a sugar high while Every child, man, and woman love their chocolate fix.
Forge your will in steal, Outmaneuver your enemies, who feel, Replete in knowing they’re the heel. Give them your support when they fall, Inspire them to be better than before. View their progress and motivate before you bore, Inverting foe to friend, like before. Never lose hope for betterment Even when all is stacked against you, Simmer the anger, put logic to the forefront Survive, learn, educate, that hope is never gone.
