Tear Drop
Are you as invisible as ‘a drop in the ocean’,
Or are you ‘the entire ocean in a drop’?
If you feel insignificant, worthless, nugatory,
Then you’re letting the world define
You in ways that are superficial that cop-
Out, hiding who you are in a flurry
Of dichotomy that examplefies the self
In opposition to the other, needing to change
To integrate in a society filled with bias.
Visualize your being as a water drop full
Of hope, life, discipline, ethics that charge
Into a blind world that needs visionaries
Who start by expanding themselves, encompassing oceans
Simply by staying true to their standards.

Masked Window
Dressed in her ivory maskerade ballgown,
Her golden mask, sitting holding a frown,
Wondering carelessly why their return
Was before the clock struck one.
On the window seat, she sits, draped
In her creamy embroidery locked
In wonder, as she gazes through the darkened
Sky lit by a brilliant moon and stars, dangled
In clusters, creating images and a haze
Of moving light surrounding the blaze
Of hope and wonder that are cause
For our betterment and flays the craze
Of depression’s loneliness that she
Left behind, as the music was too loud a bee,
She stirs from her pose of repose to see
And appreciate the beauty and comfort that be
Her succor as she contemplates
The dichotomy of a world at wars
While the other lives freely and creates
Memories, while the other loses or dies.

Heart’s Key
Double acrostic
Healing, heavenly heart, reveal
Every window leading Key that’s
Avariciously leaping into Every adventure
Relatively unscathed, Yet, Hearts need adrenaline
To stave off the stagnation of status quo, resulting in
Siesmic depression, unless the key fits the heart.

Broken
She sits on the cold unforgiving ground,
Ground that has absorbed her bountiful tears,
Tears of a broken heart,
Heart that has seen too much loss,
Loss of family, spouse, innocence,
Innocence of the unaware of the world,
World gone mad from the needs,
Needs that are illogical, depraved,
Depraved in their unethical destructive,
Destructive nature of familial bonds,
Bonds that help communities grow,
Grow in compassion and humanity,
Humanity, that’s our commonality,
Commonality of blood and origin,
Origin in Adam, the first prophet, man,
Man who made a mistake and fixed,
Fixed it for his progeny to prosper,
Prosper In an empty, arid land,
Land where possibilities are endlessly,
Endlessly varied for doing
Doing good or evil.
Evil that makes her ruminate,
Ruminate on her actions that’ve gotten,
Gotten her into her lonesome state,
State of depression, if she’s not careful,
Careful to an optimist working to achieve
Achieve her dreams without failed faith,
Faith that has driven depression into
Into its watery death in the river of her tears.

The theme, African Slavery, is close to my heart as I was born in Ghana. The people are friendly and wonderful to be with. My memories of growing up there is that of hot weather, beautiful plant life, forests, wide spaces, language, and culture.

Dine on tabboule, curry, gYros, pasta, burgers, sushi,
Include a sprinkling of Teas and Turkish coffee
Vainly believing that travelIng will make you
Even more open to cultureS and races that sur-
Round you. Relieve youR boredom with savory
Sensory outbursts that Endavor to sparkle the palate
Intensifying your joy Valiantly trying to be compassionate
To ‘otherness’ even through Incredible oppression they’ve
Yet to discern as being their Damnably real identity.

What a great way to start my day!
The eagle’s flight is sacred to me, it represents freedom and breaking the bonds of social stricture. I wanted to get the idea across that an eagle never loses his self-confidence, and, we, as humans, should look up into the sky for the example we want to follow.

What makes a teacher great?
While loving teaching is the main factor for being a great teacher, I also believe that a person needs to have an innate ability to teach by connecting to students via their needs, their hobbies, and emotions. The teacher also needs to know how to lower the requirements, if necessary, so that difficulties or gaps in knowledge are covered.
Terrifyingly funny in teaching
Emotions into lessons of life
And strives to raise abilities
Complementing continuously hard work
Heralding joy in accomplishments
Eternally increasing expectations to motivate
Reading, communicating, and accepting ‘self’.
