Verses of Soul present my poem: Lonely Bench,  with this certificate

Thank you, administrators, for the honor and your hard work.

Lonely Bench

As the empty, lonely bench
Stands alone in the park’s empty lane
That was filled with pattering feet, clench
Their hands together, riding, running, fain

The need to socialize, expanding
Energy, that seems boundless,
Enjoying the freedom of summer, fleeting,
As those moments become heartless

Dissipating into the waiting emptiness
Of autumn’s fiery colors blessedly
Oblivious that summer’s cheer
Has receded into the sky’s grey, charcoaly

Horizon, never to return the same
But better, if one appreciates their
Significance: nature’s hibernation came
With a time in spring, rejuvenation’s care

That dares to bloom again,
From a seeming emptiness that’ll
Gain depth, strength,  beauty that’ll train
The eye into its wondrous refrain.

Accolade for my poem,  Fall Sunset

Fall Sunset

The flaming sun burnishes the sky
With reds and oranges
Spilling over tree tops
Like  a flame of life; let go and Fly!

Fly like the falling leaf strewn
Into an adventure to adorn
The grounds with its fragility
Rejuvenation and transiency.

As I walk in the fall streets
Littered with crunchy leaves,
Their stories resound in steps
As their strength comes back in springs

Relating of their journey
Into the soil, hibernating as a key
To Invigorate the ground with nutrients
That’ll help rekindle their growth into beauties.

Autumn, fall

What is your favorite season of year? Why?

It’s the season when leaves fall and the changing colors in the scenery is breathtaking. The reds, oranges, yellows, browns, and greens are such a wondrous eye opener for the time when things fall, they then take the time to slumber, rejuvenate, and soak up nutrients of the fall. Never fear, after each fall, there’s a renewal that’s even more astounding in its diversity that calls itself mother nature.

Love its moods, strengths, and giving nature that gives us clean air, beauty, and a healthy respect for mother’s power over us.

Voices Rise Not Hide

I’ve been sitting on the deck watching the fog

Creep out into the perilously darkened sky,

Waiting for winter’s cold to seep and hibernate in a log.

Even the tree trunk stops its growth and its leafy

Dress has fallen on the ground, food for worms

And other creepy crawlers that abide insides.

With covid spreading, killing, and scaring humanity,

Its many mutations vying for attention, probably,

Many feel the need for hibernation as long as no solution

Exists for man’s protection. Pharmaceutical companies competing for vaccination

Uncaring of side effects on man’s Health.

What fiction!

Holidays come and go without a cheery spirit.

We long for a time when we just drove to our

Destination, uncaring to where or with whom we’re

Meeting up with , as long as we meet, communicate,

Discuss, argue, chill, and amuse one another

With nothing but our presence and care!

Never forgo the need to stay in touch with your

Humanity that’s strained while you hibernate for

Fear of sickness, racism, and oppression reign!

Let them combat each other while our compassion

Rises to the fore, fights, wins, then rests in faith and religion.
