Accolade and Review for my poem,  Love

Malak Kalmoni. Chehab Thanks for introducing this intriguing new Hungarian poetic form, Malak. Clever use of assonance and consonance in the first three lines  that mirrors the lengthening lines, (hon, honey, hopeful,) and then throughout, (lone, loving, tough, lonely.) Excellent contrast of “loving” and “lonely” in a if-you-
have-to-make-a-choice scenario. By Linda Powers O’Dell

APEVA
Love

Hon
Honey
Hopeful, lone
Loving is tough
Better than lonely.

Review for my poem, Teita

Malak Kalmoni. Chehab wow wow wow this is absolutely beautiful. Thank you so much for sharing Malak. A grandmother’s unconditional love. I will think of this everything my granny cuddles her great granddaughter on her knee. Thank you. Beautiful. 🙏🏻😊😊🙏🏻 By Natasha Brown

Fantastic. Every word is perfectly placed. Thank you for sharing! Shalom. By, Patrick Darnell

Teita¹

Grandmère, grandma, teita
Nonna, abuelita, babushka,

She sits cradling the baby
In her frail strong arms, her
Arthritic fingers clutching the cover
Swaddling the child, she croons softly

As not To wake the slumbering
Babe in arms filled with love
As white as a dove, she dove
Into her role of grandma longing

For the lost stamina of youth
When she was able to run,
Hop, bicycle for longer fun,
Now she waits on the babe’s breath

With bated breath for a wink,
A squeeze Of her hand,
A snuggle of velvety skin that band
Around a slightly bald head, to her, a blink

And she’d miss all the milestones
Of the growing babe, for her waining
Health struggles with each puffing
Breath to stay another day she owns

With a miraculous innocence
Of pure unadulterated love
That would be lost if the cove
Swallowed teita in the abyss of time’s pace

That’s like lightning when there’s
Joy, laughter,  and love to be shared.

3rd Place, Certificate of Excellence for our collaboration poem,

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Title – Orphans of War

Orphaned children of war,
Are hungry for peace that’ll crease
Away the trauma that resides, never sees
The light after wounds, amputations that are core

To surviving the war. As children
Whose childhood was decimated
By loss, parents, safety, laughter, loved,
Replaced by uncertainty, confusion, a burden

To those who survived with them, unable
To function in a world where war
Is the norm, peace is a broken contract far
From the ideals of humanity that are incomparable.

Debashrita Basu

Wars are nothing but a destruction of humanity
Loss of kindness, sympathy and love
Domination of a power over the world
Killings of many innocent women and children

Many physical scars are there
But psychological scars will never be decreased
It will destroy the innocence of children
Who are the victims of wars

Orphans of wars
Become victims of permanent fear and anxiety
Their sufferings are equal to God’s sufferings
Their pain means a lot.

Longing

Soft lips murmur mostly
Love words that revel in a list
Of muffled sounds that greatly
Impact your softened heart.

Let the soft caresses linger
On the shell of your ear, jaw, cheek,
Chin, and plant a loving kiss per
Lip laying homage and creating a spark.

The electricity or chemistry starts
The love that deepens with decades passing
While building on the flashes
That began the journey to loving.
