Accolade and Review for my acrostic poem, TEAM WORK

Malak Kalmoni. Chehab I really enjoyed this unpacking of “team work,” Malak! You capture so many poignant characteristics: the satisfaction of doing one’s best, the compromise of egos, the goals achieved, and best of all, the affirmation that people can be kind as they work together. Wonderful! I wish this poem could be shared everywhere people are collaborating. By Linda Powers O’Dell

TEAM WORK

T esting the limits of your abilities
E njoying the satisfaction of a Job well done
A nother victory for lack of egos
M aintaining the peace among the team

W orking together to achieve
O NE goal: progress and change that
R ejuvenate our hopes and beliefs that
K indness still exists, and humanity is not extinct.

4th place for my acrostic poem: TANDEM

Thank you, administrators,  for the accolade and your hard work.

TANDEM

Together we work in tandem
Achieving our goals faster
Never alone as our collaboration’s
Divine strategy comes from completing
Every task using our best abilities
Mastering our coordination, that’s sacred.

Bronze Certificate of Achievement,  poem: Nature’s Rejuvenation

I’d like to thank the administrators for the honor they’ve bestowed on my poetry.

Nature’s Rejuvenation

The wonder of the sea as it cleanses
Itself with waves frothed in peaks
Of brilliant white, flagging the onlookers

To note its brilliance as it hits the shore
With great abundance of fish, sea urchins’ core,
Crustaceans who never bore,

All vie to survive in an ecosystem
Whose balance is fragile but come
Forward to purify an environment is lame

As it’s bombarded in garbage,
Toxins that destroy the balance, in an age
Where every resource and commodity rage

For its preservation for survival
Of humanity is vital,
But, Man’s corporal life hung in destruction of the mystical.

Certificate of Honor

Being honored for my poem, My Powers.

Enclosed is an exert of the poem to wet your appetite for more!

My Powers

Believing in yourself is the first
Step to building strength that doesn’t rest.

Then, listening to others, not needing
To participate, being unjudgemental, hearing
What others need, interject, harboring
Your doubts and advice so as not harming.

Speak my mind, state my faith,
Being proud of my achievements whose…

Faith and belief are the core
Of my power to never bore, …

My scars, those that society frowns
Upon, are my badges of honor, survivals,
Will, and mind over matters
That seem trivial in light of my powers.
