Diploma for my poem, Rose’s Deity

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Roses’ Deity

Oh Aphrodite,  your white roses
Bloom to honor your deity, a groom
Of reverence to unwavering gloom
That pricked himself and turned them reds.

Yet those peaceful doves bestow
Calm innocence facing despair
With only thorns as weapons to repair
The damage done to the chaos that’ll blow

Up in the faces of those who’ve
Forgotten the hymns of gratitude
That revel in atonement embued
In simple living, where new beginnings have

Been lauded for their vision
Of graceful kindness, given, returned,
Through the fragile fairness, whose scent attracted
Its audience into presiding over confusion

With leadership in radiance,
Transparent in its intentions,
Gracious in its need for interventions
That create connections, reverence

For simple human kindness.

Diploma for my poem, Veiled Butterfly

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Veiled Butterfly

Her veil of flowers and butterflies
Flit around her head as her eyes
Wander into the night skies.

Her beauty shines through
Her astounding eyes of blue,
Framed by lashes of a brownish hue.

Her rosy lips stutter with each
Winged flap, trying vainly to catch
The flight of the butterfly and latch

Onto its fringes and take flight
With her fantasms in direct conflict
With reality’s nightmarish bite.

Her lashes flutter as her revelry
Into a utopian wonder clashes sensibly
With a reality where her veil is horribly

Marred by Stereotypes that bind
Perceptions of beauty of the mind
To terrorist activities that make you grind

Your frustrations for a lack of understanding
And communication that’s building
Roadblocks that inhibit freedom of living.

Diploma for my poem,  Cradled Moon

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Cradled Moon

Dressed in white, hair, a golden flax,
She lays on the fluffy white cloud
Bent in a fetal position, arms hold
The fluorescent moon under chin, lax,

In rest, she poses a vision of calm
As the moon shines brilliantly
In a frame to keep the fearfully
Looped worries away from her palm,

And creates a luxurious beam
Enrobing her in warmth Of light
As she slumbers in the clouds’ soft, bright
Lumanescence whose role is to brim

With courage and fight against
The terrors within, A heroine never
Given any fame, but like the moon, it’s a killer
Of monsters that create panic, at a cost

Too high to endure, if it were not
For the peaceful moon laying in arms
Breaching the towers of fright, it calms
The dread, horrors that she faught.

Diploma for my poem,  Deserted Journey

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Deserted Journey

Sunset’s rutilant blaze builds a haze
Over the horizon in hues of oranges,
Golds, reds, that reflect in dust’s foggy blaze,
They’re synchronized into a ballet of ages

Long gone, when the charriot, wagon,
Animals were the only transportation
Where gumption of pioneers were driven
To survive on perilous roads where legislation

Is words dipped in coffee, disolvable,
Empty Of any dominion over Darwin
Law of ‘survival of the fittest’. They gobble
The deserted desert roads diving in

The depth of an unknown terrain
Nature and man, enemies without
Equal, as they unite to entomb pain
In the arid journey where a bout

Between enemies, ‘frenemies’
Is but the flow of the sands of times
Whose loss is intangible for honesty’s
Dissapearing into the skies in forgotten crimes.

Diploma for my poem, Oh Dove

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Oh Dove

Oh ye peaceful dove,
Soar into freedom’s embrace,
Share your innocence and grace,
Share beauty that one can’t replace,

Hover over those whose hope:
Has perished in a land of explosives,
Has disintegrated with skin that dissolves
From chemicals that strain lives

With loss that’s Insurmountable,
While death is the sea they wade
In, suffering is the breath that’s made
Of toxins that suffocate, all have laid

A foundation for hopelessness.
Yet, the dove, still, waves its banner
Of aspirations for a future greater
Than the sum of deadly crater

That entombs the unbeliever
Who’s given up a future plan
He can not imagine in the peril that glean
A harvest of emptiness when life’s élan

Is a more powerful force of
Life alongside the price of a knife.

Diploma for my poem,  Her Aromatic Windowseat

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Her Aromatic Windowseat

She looks out of her window
Where the darkness covers the world
Beyond her room filled with pink roses, in low
Vases, littered on her windowsill, not a coward,

She watches the storm brew from within,
Safe in her harbor, a haven of scents adorn
Her with mystique, incomparable to the crow who built in
Its home outside her window in a flow of corn

Ears reaching up to the sky, pleading,
Pleading for rain to steep the soil with
Life giving water, rejuvenating, healing,
Giving abundance where famine takes away breath

Of life on a scorching summer day.
She watches, lightning flutter in brilliant light
As thunder booms its might, scaring those in play
With extenuating fright whose plight

Will drown out their fears, replacing
Them with a pinhole of hope shining
Through the darkest raven blackness flying
Into the sky with optimism sparking

A deluge of creativity unbound by earthy
Trifles that bog the soul into a rut of endless routine.

Diploma for my poem, HE Holds Hearts

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

HE Holds Hearts

Our bleeding, broken hearts of clay
And blood bleed profusely in a cup
Overflowing with torments of war that sup
On hope’s depression that hangs in a bay

Turned blood red in a husk of hay,
Dried up hope that can’t stay alive
In a world that seems to have forgotten to strive
For peace, for their compassion is blown astray.

HIS palms safeguard the pieces of hearts
Pulverized by visions of deadly murder
On screens that bring screams of mother,
Father, children in horrific suspension as parts

Are blown to smithereens and only identifying
Thing is the ink on limbs carrying names
Of children in black, that gets erased as flames
From explosions erode any ink stains remaining

On skin that deliquesces from being scorched
By burning flames that flutter over
Corpses, gas that dematerialize any cover
With its combustible matter, a deflagrated

Hideous serpent that swallows everything
In its path and ignites into a colorful, reddish blaze
That only receeds upon engulfing the craze
Of all that is in its path, turning it to a Phoenix rising from ash.

Diploma for my poem, HIS Palm’s Balance

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

HIS Palm’s Balance

HIS palm holds our world in balance
Where chaos and order reign supreme,
Supreme storms, floods, Famine whose
Supreme effects on mankind manifest,
Manifest destruction of balance,
Manifest evil’s depravity winning,
Winning the race of immoral choices,
Winning the Nobel Prize for lies,
Lies that people use to manipulate,
Lies that use to demean self,
Self that wonders, confused as to their identity,
Self where Ego’s Vanity needs its fans,
Fans that blow winds and storms,
Fans that fan fires from thunder storm,
Storm of nature whose advant crows Its anger,
Storm within, a fight over morals and envy,
Envy for what others have,
Envy that drives a wedge between family
Family that falters as faith falls,
Family that stands by you when all fails,
Fails to survive the storm,
Fails to believe and overcome the storm.
