Fire, fire, sinuous liar, spread fear like a liar.
Ceaselessly, undulating, weaving your web with a lyre
Blending, melding, fogging your thinking,
Embedding the conductor’s swaying, moving
Hands, mesmerizing in its bright bluish, red flame, burning.
Rise, raise your filaments into the sky in supplication
To the Creator, the all powerful, the giver and taker
Of life, pleading for a savior from the twister
That surrounds your vision with a blight of fear.
Paralysis sets in, and movement is bound in a lere.
Fear, fear of a teeny weeny virus is worse
Than the fire bathing you in brine and ashe
That sizzles up your skin, sneaking, bubbling
Into scorched patches of bright stinky skin.
Emphasize the need to survive this pendemic
As surely as you empathize with your fellow man’s
Plight in their struggle to eradicate fear’s
Hold on your life and your actions.
Stear the fear into a sepulcher of death
And despair so its power lays fallow in a breath
That inhales life and hope for longevity and health.
Beseech your Creator for the will to live and breathe
In hope, optimism, compassion, and empathy for humanity.
