Tennis and ski

What Olympic sports do you enjoy watching the most?

Why those 2 you ask? Well simple really, I loved playing those sports and white I watch,  I feel the exhiliration of a strategically placed ball that ends up being a winner. As for ski, I can imagine feeling the speed, the wind, the icy feel of the snow, the danger of a fall, all the while embracing the beauty of the freedom it gives as you ski downhill.

Award of Appreciation, for my poem Karma

Karma (exert)

All man-made laws have loopholes
That help people become fools

For not striding the narrow path
That emblazons morality in a breath

Radiating Karmic laws of wisdom:
Actions demand reactions, while calm

Patience are rewards in themselves,
As well as reducing regret that halves ….

Back to normal

How have you adapted to the changes brought on by the Covid-19 pandemic?

The only time I adopt the mask is when I’m sick, and I don’t wish to limit the spread of the virus I have. However,  I’ve seen first year college/ university students actually move away from a handshake or  hug. They’ve adapted by being less social by not knowing how to open a conversation or keep it going. More, they’ve become so afraid of covid that they’re distancing themselves from peers and using their phones more often to communicate.

Bright Darkness

The soulless soul seeps into the sewers

Hiding, in hindsight, from historic hatefulness

Heaving the heavy heart into the whole

Whose empty empathy embarks on evil’s espousal.  ….

Double acrostic

Wondrous words                Whirl around and
Over a reality created by wOrlds in images, that are
Readily available              foR consumption,
Leading to leveling the  fieLd of wonder
Down into a frozen              Dream filled with rhyming

Poetic world made up of a  Plethora
Of offerings of a utopian   bOunty imagined by an
Eternal imagination        nevEr grinding
To a stop, as its renewed     Tunneling to greater
Rewards as newer worlds  aRe revealed
Yearning for the                  crY of revelations.

Drive your curiosity to    conDemn the oppressing
Arm of murderers of imaginAtion who travel
Yards over supremacy overtlY conscious of the squelched word.

2 certificates, 1 of Excellence, and 1 Gold, both honoring women for March is Women’s Month. In some countries, March 21, spring, is Mother’s Day as well, which elevates the celebration. My only regret is that, as we celebrate, other mothers around the world are being raped, tortured, and murdered horrifically.
