WORLD PEACE DAY
Wrong words wobble
On the train of peace, that hobbles
Reaching its destination
Later than usual, for the
Devastation that needed to be overcome
Peppered the land in rubble
Emptying the souls of victims of
Armored hope that flies on
Compromised wings that still
Enter the sky’s vastness instilling
Dangerous hope for peace
Arriving on its hobbled legs
Yet still drowning away dessent.
