Platinum Award for my collaboration poem with Dr. Laxman Sahoo, Wander At Night

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Wander at Night

A night
When the moon is shining bright
Lights up the darkened road as he
Walks alone, with his cane

Illuminating his path at night
As the forests and mountains fight
To cover the dirt road combating
For supremacy, as he walks by, thinking…

As the beautifully quiet night
Envelops his being, his Wandering flight
Into the unknown natural dangers,
Not forgetting the man made ones

Even scarier in such a darkened night,
When owls and predators alight
In a feat to survive and reign supreme
In a world of beauty, and night
When evil rules minds and dives into sin.

As he wander and cannot sleep with eyes closed.
He walks barefoot, with his feet on the dewcovered
Grass, the shepherd boy, with a plough and cloth protecting his shoulders,
He walks to the field before sunrise.
He has to walk miles down the hill,
With clothes in colorful bursts
As winter comes for the Babus!
The laborers, the poor are always poor.
They have to endure hardships with masked smile.

Open your eyes, oh ye rich people
The poor around you are helpless.
Those in your service are suffering on cold nights.
They are suffering in sleepless pains.
They walk with hungry eyes before sunrise.
Ones go to golden fields to worship Maa Lakshmi.
Unselfishly holding ond to faith as savior..!!!

Accolade for my poem,  Holiday’s Glow

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Holidays’ Glow

Diamonds glitter in her ears, studs of stars
Shining brighter than the moon,
Pearls adorn her neck, snowwhite flakes bares
The city scape in a romantic glow, flown

With the wind of time as another
Holiday season, decorated to impress,
Flies by with a peaceful blanket of snow, a cover
Of harmony, calm flow of steady
Snowfall dropping on her jeweled
Hair and neck, icy cold, bright gold, fluffy,
Velvety feel like a mother’s hug, hold,

Love, eternal in its giving grace
As she too, with time falls down
As we grow old while youth’s stately
Presence melts like the snow shown

At its season dissipates, replaced
By spring’s colors, warmths, brilliant
Colors that shine brighter than diamond’s encased
In a vine wrapped in wine on a neck, elegant

Never gaunt but sparkles and haunts
Memories as transient as the snowflake
That touches, melts, becomes water, a font
Of changes just her her stylish break.

Happy November 😊

Love November

The days are shorter,

The rain is faster,

The skyline slowly becomes barer,

The colors are a wonder,

The walks are easier: sweatier,

Life slows down, and you move farther.

Love / Hate

How do you feel about cold weather?

I love cold weather on the condition that the heating system isn’t on too high that I sweat everywhere I go. I also love the white winter scenery when snow covers the ground in a white coat of innocence.  However,  I also hate how dirty a house becomes from melting snow, salt, slush, and mud.

Holiday Tidings

While the weather out is jolly,

The snowy ice is frothy

My laté is warm and fluffy

With a heart made with three bubbly.

I hold its warmth knowing

That I have three babies, loving,

Waiting to shower me with it by hugging,

While my hubby waits his turn, pacing.

So I happily snuggle in my warmest

Clothes, harvesting their love in a jest.

There’s no rest

For those I love best.

Merry Christmas 🎅 and Happy New Year to all!
