If you could make your pet understand one thing, what would it be?
Rules and discipline are for Sly, our GSD, like candy is to be eaten. He chews out the rules, trying to break them by being cute, cuddly, and loving. When he’s like that, I forget to enforce the rules!

Fog’s hazy dream world drizzled Down the mountain side, as the sun’s rays fizzled Into its relentless brume and lays its web, Like a spider setting up its nest in fab Tradition, that calls prey to its behest.
The scene above and below is covered In a dreamy gauze that needs not be applauded, As the blurry vision reflects a reality Few wish to face: life is shady, Never clear cut, rather its variety, at best,
Its unpredictability takes you away from absolutes That are limiting in their scopes as brutes That wrench your rosy world into chaos Of flutes whose mellow, ethereal sounds floss Your heart into airy contentment lest …
It dissipates, like the misty miasma in a royal crest.
If we had hindsight, we’d do many things very differently. However, life doesn’t give you any makeovers, so if you fall into the infinite possibilities of different actions you could have taken, you’ll fall into the abyss of second-guessing your decisions. That will invariably turn into not making a decision at all, making you stagnate in place and never move forward. This is a hard lesson to learn and implement, but it’s worth it. When you reach a place where you can learn from the decisions you make, face the issues and move forward, then, and only then, can you face making decisions knowing that you might have to revisit it.

As the countdown to 2023 starts, My mind takes a long look behind And wonders what wishes, surprises Are in store for 2024 that won’t stand Down to the tests of time.
I wish for a world of peace I wish for a world without violence, I wish for justice to prevail, I wish for family strength and unity, I wish for a world that’s compassionate and humane, I wish for honesty to triumph over lies, I wish that this society’s rules made sense, I wish, I wish, I wish…
Wishing for something and achieving Your goal are separate indeed, as Working hard drives you to attaining Your objective, while just wishing for it to lands In your lap will never happen!
Acrostic poems are a form I enjoy using, as it’s challenging to use the word/ title as the start of each line. My aim when using this form is to have the theme of the poem reflect the word/ title. Plus, when the rules require a limited number of lines, it’s simpler to use the Acrostic form.
