My poem, Byzantium Gardens is published in Stencils Magazine

I’m honored to have been a participant and a published poem with this magazine.  Enjoy your reading.

Byzantium’s Garden

As I look upon the changing season,
The variety of colors from umber’s rich
Brown, fertile soil, going into hiatus for reason
Of the cold, cooling the ground, coloring a stitch
Of amber, yellow, gold, yellowish green,
All turning into nutrients for a fallow lean

Land in need of Amaranth to renew
Its vigor to produce a wonderland
After hibernation in winter, a review
Of the upcoming Byzantium garland
Of a garden, waiting, waiting patiently
For the right circumstance to grow wildly

In a rush to present faery
Flowers, a rainbow of colored plants,
Heliotrope, lilies, roses, carnations, covertly
Awaiting the cooling spring springing, like cats,

Into view grabbing your attention
By tuning the scene into an idyllic
Creation, where reverence to beautification

Is necessary for the purification
Of a heart filled with desperation

To be awakened into the translucence
Of a world enveloped in nacre opulence.

An opulence filled with Faith’s gratification.
