Labyrinth

Life is full of predicaments,
Labyrinths are the only road available.
Line your car with gas that spars
Long with the deadly turns that are viable.

Longing for straightforward success,
Laying out your failures that press.
Limp around giving a guess
Looking forward to new life that’s not less.

Legends are complex and teach
Loyalty and friendship, but suppress
Liars that generate a great reach
Leaving them as villains that squeals.

Light up your life with loyals
Living through difficulties and prove
Logical in their enterprises
Letting the faithful mind make a succesful move.

Defining ‘Me’

As a teen, are you aware?
Aware of your strengths,
Aware of your weaknesses,
Aware of your beliefs,
Aware of your needs?

You may have a vague
Notion about all the above,
But can’t define any with clarity.

Make mistakes,
Learn from them, lessons,
Let’s live life with its joys
That reflect your awareness
Of successes and failures.

Your patience, reactions,
And actions define your emotions,
Those help to highlight your characters’
Flexibility when faced with adversities.

Accepting that failure isn’t an end
But a beginning; as it’s where you
Find out about yourself, and become aware.

Soul’s Individuality

“Find out who you are. And do it on purpose.”

Says Dolly Parton as she describes the need for identity.

Do you know who you are?

Do you wait for a magazine, a model, and trends

To validate your existence to others?

Are you being led, like a lamb, to the slaughter

For you are a follower not an instigator or leader?

If asked to jump, will you? Why or why not?

Identify what characteristics make you unique.

Embrace them, strengthen them, stand for them

Even if it’s late, you’ve already many mistakes made.

Grasp your said ‘weaknesses’ and turn them into

Fortresses, pillars of power to wage a war though

You know the result: You are the Victor!

“Why?”, you ask! Simply put, your perseverance,

Fortitude, and belief that your faith and ethics,

Your hope in being a power to be reckoned with

Will pull you through all obstacles that try to demean you.

Fight, don’t back down, don’t let your color define you,

Your gender, your social class, your blood kin, though

You must break the bonds imposed on you

By standing for your faith, uniqueness, and belief

In the God that empowers and supports you!
