Double Gold Certificate for my poem,  She Climbs

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

She Climbs

Once upon a fairytale,  a young woman
Dressed in a grey flowy dress caresses
Her calf, flies with the winds of change, blesses
Each step on the decrepit stairs as she ran

Up to her waiting destiny, her knight.
Each step closer to her goal becomes
Brighter for hope shines like crimes
Hiding in darkness’ blight.

The baluster along the way
Changes from rotten to golden
As her aim comes closer, all of a sudden
She trips, falls as strong arms carry

The burdens she hauls a weight
Heavier than Atlas’ heavens up to a fine
Glittery tower where its bulk dissipates in line
With the rays that shine on meliorism’s height

That stomps out the blight of despair
That weighs her down, yet, she continues
To strive to achieve optimism’s news
That harken loudly into the pews of heavenly repair.

Award of Appreciation for my poem,  Existing Isn’t Living

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Existing Isn’t Living

‘I exist, therefore I am’
Doesn’t mean you’re alive,
Rather it means you exist in time
Without breaking the trend, a hive

Of bees are alive, having
One aim: either securing pollen,
Or making honey, or the queen, all striving
To make life bearable, never fallen

For each has a purpose, design
That pushes their ambition,
So, like the bee, we must be, a fine
Line not to be crossed, for noble characterization.

Never give up

What’s your favorite thing about yourself?

I’m tenacious about things I believe in. Plus, if I know I’m capable of achieving a goal, I work hard, even if it means I fail several times before attaining my objective. Case in point, my writing!

Life’s Vain

Life is sometimes a Strain

But you live life as a speedy Train

That leaves you breathless in the Rain.

Don’t let people lead you to Stray

From your path, that’s like a Tray

Whose definative shape is sun’s Ray.

Don’t try to Explain

To people what’s Plain

For they’ve put their heads down and Lain.
