Overflowing Chalice
Choices, choices, how many do you make everyday?
Good choices, poor choices, which are the best in a fray?
Career choices at a young age,
Friendships good and bad, relegate all that’s a rage,
Pressure, peers, social, cultural, all turn an empty page
In a life that’s overwhelmed with questions of existence.
Run, run, run along,
Round, round you go all the way, longing, long,
Wishing there exists a preset solution
That facilitates life’s process for a decision.
The summation of all experiences create
A diverse stream in the chalice if inequity’s rate.
Depending on your perception and that of your kin,
The chalice overflows with a negatively skewed bin
That lowers your morale when all you need
Is for the chalice of injustice to be empty indeed.
