Certificate for my poem,  Crane Cloud

Thank you for the honor and your hard work.

Crane Cloud

For a child, imagination is a castle
Filled with invisible friends in a battle
To be the superhero that defends
Against injustice and bends

The rules of logic, reality
In order to achieve his empty
Vision with regulations that fit
Into a cloud looking like, a big bit

Of a crane, all white fluffy
Clouds, but hunts like an eagle whose cry
Pierces the sky with a predatory
Call, scaring prey and flushing adversary

Out in the open so go for the kill
That’s a firing squad of a pill
Calling out for justice in a child’s
Mild imaginings, prospering in a field’s

Grassy stretch lingering on harvest,
Its beauty, hard work, and failing the test
Of nature that can wipe it away
In a stray moment that’s a giveaway.

Still the child looks upon the crane,
Wishing he were riding on its back, a bane
To all oppressors, abusers who dare
Hurt anyone as he bares witness with care.
