My children have met someone
That might become their
Partner, a life partner,
Whose aim is to keep both, never alone,

To start a family of their own.
Dealing with advice, first disagreement,
First time meeting anxiety lent
Some insight into meetings flown …

UPAH on Facebook has given me a certificate of appreciation for my poetry for their Easter contest. I’m humbled by their appreciation of my work. I love to write, and each challenge sent my way is taken with great care, for words, if not used properly, can cut deeper than a knife.

Lone

One
lonely
Boy, shy
Tries making
A friend flying
Into the unknown,
Lonely. One. Loneliest
Number ever. It tests hardest
When you’re surrounded by familys’
Best, whose envy alienates you farthest.

Standing alone with a whirring world
That’s confusing, struggling blind,
Into unknowns that surround,
Bind your moves. Loud
Is the thunder around
That drowns bad
Decisions
Needing
Greater
Care.

Award of participation in UPAH Facebook poetry club challenge

I’ve been posting my writing there as part of an international group of poets are given a prompt they need to follow. I was one of those honored with this plaque.

It’s very interesting to be a part of such groups as you grow from the variety of perspectives alone.
