i'm a survivorof 2 civilwars, Ghana, Lebanon, all before the age of 11. The result was immigration to 3 continents as a teen, which leaves an influence upon the soul that cries out for justice. My poetry and writing reflect that and more.

I feel the need to share my appreciation to all those who have read, read, and will soon read my writing. Your support has given such inspiration and wonder. I hope that those who write, I encourage and challenge to keep expressing yourself; for those who are visual artists, painters, photographers … don’t stop, for those who just wish to impart their knowledge and experience, do so with pride! It doesn’t matter what you do really, as long as you enjoy it and know that others, of like minds, will do the same!
Keep at it!!!!
Farther, frantic, frivolous, funny Arbitrary, amazing, amorous, angry Terrified, terrific, tutor, tumble, true Healing, hearty, heavenly, hotheaded Embrace, empower, enormous, encouraging
Rare, rowdy, resolute, resolved, remembered
All of these and more apply to a Father. A day a year is never enough to appreciate
All he does for his family. Sacrifice is his middle name,
Silent support is his first,
Power and strength are his last name,
A pillar of wisdom is his endgame.
People who feel a connection to their humanity,
I implore you to set aside learned cruelty,
Open your minds to others, brothers sisters,
In comparison and empathy reigning freely.

Outside, the sun is shining brightly, but within
The window, where the air is stale from fear of pain
Everyone seems to be hiding behind squares of glass
Letting life pass them by as their isolation presses
Down on their sanity, and cabin fever rises.

Time, the b-ch, that slips through any wisps,
Takes away your joyous loves
Of the wander that the present presents.
Exert from my poetry book, Perfectly Flawed
The summer sky’s shades are all vibrant, Going from baby blue to azure to royal blue
Changing on the whim of the weather that can’t
Decide which blue suits it utmost:
Dark and depressing, or cheery and frisky?
Mainly, all are moody and try you out for a test:
Of whether its moods become yours or do you heartily
Overcome the sky’s emotional breath?
Gazing dreamily into the sky’s constellations
On a summery night, fills your breast with
Wishes and desires that abound in intentions
Of freedom to roam among them, freeing your breath.
The Constellations’ Devine joy is in being constant,
True, and unwavering attestation to God’s will:
That surmises the need for unchanged candescent
Brilliance that brings hope and faith that spill from the quill.

…
Unity needing solidarity, equality of sexes,
Races, and religious beliefs
Needs compromise, and setting of pride aside
Letting devotion to home, country, and family
Lift you above all that is petty.
