I remember a time
When innocence reigned supreme,
When love was given freedom,
When tears never reached the ocean’s calm.
I remember a time
When family gathered together,
When friendship was a teacher,
When colleagues empowered each other.
I remember a time
When explosions reigned,
When walking across the street hide
Dangers were unparalleled, exposed.
