The seascape, verdant in color,
Coalesces green and blue hues in favor
Of reds, purples, and yellows of sunsets, brighter.
The water flows in cadence with my heart,
A beat that travels within the water’s part.
I fling myself within it, swimming at my leisure; start.
Enjoying the feel of the silky water
As it envelopes my body with heat, that’s better
Than being alone as I sweep away tears: left for later.
They would stain my paper and ink, Telling me it was time for a break
From life’s realities that weigh me on a brink.
At the sea, the smells, painted sky,
The sounds of crashing waves hitting the shore by
The second, are therapy for a broken soul to fly.
