Tear Drop
Are you as invisible as ‘a drop in the ocean’,
Or are you ‘the entire ocean in a drop’?
If you feel insignificant, worthless, nugatory,
Then you’re letting the world define
You in ways that are superficial that cop-
Out, hiding who you are in a flurry
Of dichotomy that examplefies the self
In opposition to the other, needing to change
To integrate in a society filled with bias.
Visualize your being as a water drop full
Of hope, life, discipline, ethics that charge
Into a blind world that needs visionaries
Who start by expanding themselves, encompassing oceans
Simply by staying true to their standards.
