Archeologists excavate the ground
To find what was in ancients’ minds. They found
By doing so they expand the mind,
Learn of their tools and ingenuity that they find
Exhilarating, as they observe recurring patterns
In history that we can avoid, if only we learns
That the difficulties of life that they surmounted
Are things that we, in our day, would find hardships
Trying to overcomes.
How do we teach ourselves and our progeny
Understanding that they still do apply today?
To learn from our and others’ experiences, fully.
How do we convince the new generations
That theirs is Not the one and only way that excavates
The mind, finds solutions, and resolves
The impossible.
Unknowingly implementing their ignorance traceable
To their upbringing and entourage, capable
Of imposing restrictions and actions unfavorable
To our survival.
Our perception of race, superiority and inferiority
Are just labels that we impose to understand
That which is incomprehensible for us.
Humanity excavates its center, extracting
The same red blood, emotions, and needs.
